Evening Mail campaign
A 17 year old music student from the College,
who has received significant recognition for her
singing and song writing already, has been
picked by the Evening Mail to record a song for
their anti-bullying campaign.
Talented singer-songwriter Lhamea Lall, who
has overcome bullying herself, has been asked
by the Birmingham newspaper to write and
record a song which will be added to their
website (www.icbirmingham.co.uk) to raise
awareness of bullying. Engineered with the
assistance of tutors in the College recording
studios the song Is entitled Hardest of All (Stand
Up, Speak Out).
The Music National Diploma student, who is an
Ambassador for the Princess of Wales Memorial
Fund for Young People, uses her music to
highlight issues such as bullying, gun crlme. and
drug abuse.
She appeared on Radio 1 last year to publicise
her campaign and talks and performs at anti-
bullying events and schools across the country.
On Monday 18th July, she will speak and
perform at the anti-bullying conference at Stoke
Newington School in North London.

A College student, who has been awarded the
highest possible result, a first class honours
Degree from the College's Fine Art Degree
programme, has been selected to exhibit her
work at a gallery in London.
Sarah Maurice - Smith, will be exhibiting work at
the Foundry in London between 29th June and

she applied to participate in the show, that was

what these items tell us about other people.

the final year Fine Art Degree show at the
