This document discusses the status and challenges of water management for the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project, particularly in the Shendra-Bidkin area. The major source of water for the DMIC project is the Godavari River. The current and future demand for water by the DMIC project is analyzed based on data from the past 5 years on water distribution, storage levels, and usage. A key challenge is meeting the growing demand for water given constraints on supply due to factors like evaporation and depletion of groundwater reserves. Strategies to improve water management through water recycling and harvesting are explored.
