Object pronouns are used as the direct or indirect object of a verb or the object of a preposition, in contrast to subject pronouns. In English, object pronouns take the objective case and include forms like "me", "him", "her", "us", and "them". Some languages have separate forms for direct and indirect object pronouns, while others like Persian do not distinguish object pronouns.
The document summarizes the dangers of plastic bag usage and disposal. Over 500 billion plastic bags are consumed worldwide each year, with less than 1% being recycled as it is more expensive to recycle bags than produce new ones. As a result, most plastic bags end up polluting lands and oceans, harming over 200 sea species who often mistake the bags for food. Several countries and cities have implemented bans on plastic bags to reduce their environmental impact and decrease foreign oil dependency.

This document discusses efforts to promote reconciliation and peace in Burundi through rebuilding homes, education, and livelihoods after conflict. It provides photos and details of specific programs, including constructing new homes for refugees, helping widows and orphans, starting community gardens, linking schools in Burundi and Washington State through a student exchange program, and developing internet skills. The overall aim is to rebuild hope through rebuilding infrastructure and opportunities that were destroyed by conflict.
Climate experts have identified 9 tipping points in the climate system that could trigger sudden catastrophic changes if crossed, including melting of Arctic sea ice and collapse of the Greenland and West Antarctic ice sheets. These tipping points would have severe consequences like significant sea level rise. Some tipping points like Arctic sea ice melting may already have been passed. Public perception that climate change threats are distant or only impact nature reduces chances of preventing tipping points from being crossed, though Americans produce a large portion of emissions. Shifting human perception from denial to responsibility is critical to triggering an ultimate tipping point of climate action.
This document discusses asking different questions about school beyond traditional measures. It suggests asking what people hope for their community's children, what kind of people they want them to become, and what youth should care about. The document also prompts envisioning an ideal school by describing its main features, a typical day, underlying beliefs and values, and policies.
This document discusses key factors in education, including students, teachers, and the environment. It emphasizes educating students holistically in the areas of self, community, earth, and spirit. Teachers should prepare students for their role in society and community, help them develop passions, and understand environmental causes and effects. Both students and teachers benefit from nurturing the inner life, finding purpose and meaning, and building an inclusive learning community. An ideal education integrates heart, spirit, community, and academics. It celebrates diversity and encourages social responsibility and appreciation for nature, the past, and the arts.
The document promotes continuing education opportunities for educators through Holistic Learning University, including workshops in Seattle and Portland, field studies of the environment and culture, distance and online learning, self-designed study, global travel programs, and special programs focused on pressing global issues. Educators can earn credit or clock hours for meetings, conferences, civic action, and travel through open online accounts. Holistic Learning University also partners with public schools for educator professional development.

Diversity in Classrooms- Understand Better through Best Online Courses for Teachers
1. Diversity in Classrooms- Understand Better through Best Online
Courses for Teachers
Diversity in students, in terms of culture, understanding, mental
ability, and cognitive reaction, has increased substantially.
Therefore, their needs are different which requires a teacher to
undertake a unique approach to teaching. Online professional
development courses for teachers have become a reliable way
to develop requisite skills as an educator.
2. Teaching in a classroom of diverse learners, a teacher must aim at
facilitating the learning process of students. Taking the following
points in consideration, to become a sought after teacher.
• Consider students as individual with different abilities.
Each student has their unique strengths weaknesses, and
needs. Generalization of the entire classroom will not be
healthy in a classroom full of students with diverse ethnicity,
race, and cultural group.
• Engage in different teaching styles to get desired response
from culturally diverse group of students. Teaching online
courses will be useful to learn a variety of teaching styles.
• A teacher is responsible to create an interactive
environment in classrooms where individual experiences
and perspective of each student is respected and valued.
3. In fact, styles are modified based on requirement in a
classroom or student in question. Broadly, researchers
have classified learning in three styles.
• Auditory – In this type of learning, students prefer to receive
ideas or information by hearing. Auditory learners generally
have trouble in reading and writing, however, are brilliant in
retaining spoken words in mind.
• Visual – Learners under this classification prefer receiving
information through pictures or by seeing it. Students who
prefer visual learning pay high attention to detail.
• Kinesthetic – In this innovative learning style, students prefer
to learn by carrying out physical activity, for instance via
movement or touch. Learners who prefer to learn in this manner
are often considered hyperactive, because they face difficulty in
sitting in one spot for long.
