This document provides literacy percentages for scheduled tribes and the general population in 35 districts of Maharashtra, India based on 2001 census data. Literacy rates were higher for males compared to females in both the scheduled tribes and general populations across all districts. Literacy percentages ranged from 52.2% to 86.9% for the general population, and from 42.3% to 76.8% for scheduled tribes, varying significantly between districts and gender groups.
