DISIT lab is one of the most active ICT research labs in Tuscany, Italy with over 20 years of experience. It conducts research in areas such as data mining, artificial intelligence, big data, and knowledge engineering. DISIT has successfully developed many national and international research projects and provides infrastructure for cloud and distributed computing. It produces tools and solutions in domains like smart cities, healthcare, education and more that are applied through projects and made available on its website.

1. DISIT lab and research group is one of the most active ICT labs of the University of Florence, metropolitan
Tuscany area with 20 years of experience. DISIT successfully developed a relevant number of International and
National research, development and innovation projects. DISIT also presents an infrastructure for cloud and
massive distributed computing.
DISIT research areas of knowledge engineering: data mining; smart, intelligent and
sentient solutions; content and knowledge technologies; smart cloud; bigdata.
