Dignity Health launched the "Take Back Your Morning" campaign to encourage people to spend less time on their smartphones and more time connecting with others. The campaign pointed out that most people check their phones within minutes of waking up, before even interacting with family. It invited people to pledge to start their mornings device-free and spend time with loved ones instead. The campaign included videos, social media posts, and painted sidewalk messages promoting human interaction over technology use. It achieved over 2 million video views and 38,000 social media engagements, spreading Dignity Health's message of how social connections can improve health.
