I did not use a Lynda tutorial because the few that I watched all seemed to assume that I
had more prior knowledge of Photoshop than I actually do. I watched a video on YouTube called
“How to Put a Person into a New Photo.” This video walked you through the step by step
process of selecting the part of the image you wanted to add to a different photo, and how to edit
the piece to look like it belongs once you moved the image. So I took two photos I two from my
family’s vacation out west and put them together. The first picture is of my cousin doing a
practice jump for the Air Force Academy graduation, the second is of my dad at Canyon Lands
National Park. I used to quick selection tool as well as the magnetic lasso tool to select my
cousin and his parachute and move them into the picture of my dad. Then I adjusted the
brightness and contrast so that the colors of my cousin’s picture would blend better with the
colors of the picture I had added him to.
