This document discusses different types of shots used in romantic comedies. Over the shoulder shots are used to show conversations between characters and their potential to establish a relationship. Close-ups show a character's emotions to help the audience understand what they may be feeling or thinking. Mid-shots determine a character's body language toward another to convey if they care for or are shy around each other, while also showing some of the setting. Long shots allow viewers to see how much space or closeness there is between characters to judge their level of liking or disliking each other.
