The altar for burnt offerings in the courtyard of the Tabernacle was to be made of acacia wood overlaid with copper. It was to be 5 cubits long, 5 cubits wide, and 3 cubits tall. Horns on each of the four corners were to be made of one piece with the altar and overlaid with copper. Rings and poles were also to be made of copper to carry the altar. The dimensions and materials of the altar represented spiritual meanings and fulfilled prophecies about Jesus Christ.
