Communication involves an exchange of information,
ideas, feeling rather than a mere transmission of
information. It is a two-way process between the sender
and the receiver of information.
In communication process. a SENDER (encoder) encodes
a message and then using a medium/channel sends it to
the receiver (decoder) who decodes the message and
after processing information, sends back appropriate
feedback/reply using a medium/channel.

media such as printed materials,radio, television, and so

communication is used as an empowerment tool in other
words, communication is used as a tool to facilitate the
participation of people in development activities.
Knowledge and information are essential for people to

challenges of social, economic, and technological
changes. But to be useful, knowledge and information
must effectively communicated to people.

Non-Verbal Communication: Body language, gestures, facial expressions,
and even posture.
Written Communication: Written signs or symbols are used to
