interference fit bushings and plugs, which required precision
drilling and reaming holes while maintaining tolerance of
plus or minus .005 in most cases.
-Utilized ingenuity and skills to complete required task in a
timely manner.
-Evaluated structures to locate cracks, breaks, corrosion,
holes, dents, and loose rivets in order to determine the
correct repair process.

Oct 1998 to Sept 2002
USAF Aircraft Structural Maintenance Journeyman
18th Maintenance Sq. Kadena AFB Okinawa,Japan
-Fabricated, repaired, assembled, and installed aircraft

jets,KC-135 refueling aircraft, and both the AWACS and RC-
135 recon aircraft.
-Gained a majority of skills and experience while working on
HH-60 helos, most of them required extensive attention due
to severe corrosion that was brought on by the salt water
they were constantly exposed to.
-While working phase inspections of HH-60 helos I was often
responsible for the complete tear down of the belly area
underneath the floors, these areas always had the most
corrosion. After removing all damaged and corroded parts, I
then had to re-manufacture the parts from scratch and then
assemble them inside the aircraft.
-Assisted in the repair of a severely damaged radome on a
RC-135 aircraft which required extensive fiberglass
reconstruction, while working on a strict schedule handed
down from the Pentagon.
-Performed corrosion inspection and removal in the fuel cells
of F-15 fighter jets, a week long process which often
required the removal of all the sealant and sandblasting of
the lower portion of the compartment that holds the fuel
bladder.
-Re-created hydraulic tubing and cable assemblies using
blue prints and measurements from the original damaged
parts when new ones could not be ordered, thus saving the
Air Force time and money.
-Worked along with F-15 Phase Inspection Team to meet
deadlines by completing repairs ahead of schedule.
-While assuming the duty as operator of the 18th MXS
Structural South flight line vehicle, I was on-call to inspect
repair structural wear and damage to any and all aircraft on
the flight line, a duty which called for speed and accuracy.
-Became skilled in the use of many tools and machines such
as
drills, rivet guns, sandblasters, drill presses, slip-roll
formers, throat less shears, cherry max guns, tubing
benders, cornice
brake, band saw, micro-stop countersinks, micro shavers,
reamers, and counter bores.
