Tara Derington has experience as a staff writer and news director for The Northerner student newspaper where she wrote enterprise stories and conducted interviews. She was president of the Northern Kentucky University chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, conceiving events and managing communications. Derington also worked as a student publicist for the Informatics Institute and as an editorial intern for Cincinnati Magazine. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and History from Northern Kentucky University and studied British literature in London.
