Deprivation of Liberty Training Courses are for anyone working in the health and social care industry. It will give you a better understanding of different situations where DOL is needed or when someones liberties have been taken from them. All staff should have a good understanding of deprivation of liberty and should be taken alongside the mental capacity act training course. The course will last for cover and introduction to deprivation of liberty, key terms and statistics, persons best interest, case studies, processes etc. The course will last three hours and can be provided at one of our training centres or a location that is better suited to your staff.

Course Description:
This course is for anyone working in the Health and Social Care industry. After the course you
will have a better understanding of the different situations where DOLs would be needed, or
where someone’s Liberty had been taken from them. It is advised that all staff have a good
understanding of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, this course is particularly beneficial when
taken alongside our Mental Capacity Act (2005) course
