Dr. Roscoe Hightower Jr.
Roscoe Hightower, Jr. is Professor of Marketing at Florida A&M University's School of
Business and Industry (SBI). Roscoe's research has appeared in several peer-reviewed
journals Journal of Business Research, Journal of World Business, Marketing
Management Journal, Global Review of Business and Economic Research Journal, Forum
Empresarial Journal, The Journal of Public Transportation, International Journal for
Facility Management, the Business Studies Journal, and Journal fur Facility
Management. And as Chapter Nine in a sport marketing textbook called “Leveraging
Brands in Sports Business”. Dr. Hightower has created three new degree programs and
six new business courses since returning to FAMU in August 2000. He has been
recognized for his teaching by winning the Florida A&M University School of Business
and Industry's 2011 Teacher of the Year Award. His service also includes the Editorial
Review Board for the Marketing Management Journal since 2006, the MMA Board of
Directors, VP of Marketing, President Elect and Spring Conference Program Chair
2013-2014, President MMA 2014-2015, IFMA Foundation Board of Directors Academic
Advisor 2014-present, and the Scientific Review Committee for the Technical University
of Wien, Austria 2014-present. He is also a member of the Facility Management
Accreditation Council (FMAC) in association with IFMA Foundation. He also served on
the 2014 US Department of State Foreign Service Selection Board (FSSB) as a Public
Member during the summer term.
