Denali National Park is located in Alaska and was established in 1917 to preserve the area's wildlife, which includes bears, moose, foxes and over 25,000 resident animals. The park, originally called Mount McKinley National Park, covers 8,899 square miles and features Alaska's tallest peak, Denali, formerly known as Mount McKinley. Visitors can view diverse plant life and wildlife while facing challenges such as limited funding to properly maintain the park's 144 historical sites.
