  3. Komatsu Hot Tube test is utilized to help provide a screener high temperature deposit protection in turbocharger and piston skirts. Deposit control is important Protection Mechanism for Premium Heavy Duty Engine Oils to help prevent wear in critical engine parts. When compared against John Deere Plus-50 II SAE 15W-40 Heavy Duty Engine Oil, Delo 400 LE with Isosyn technology shows a higher performance rating, which indicates lower deposit formation, in this test.

  5. The PDSC measures the thin-film oxidation resistance of engine oils at 210ºC under dry air pressure of 100 psi. The onset of oxidation is detected by heat produced from the reaction. Higher rates of oxidation can cause bore polishing and piston ring sticking. Better oxidation control promotes longer engine life and extended drain capabilities. Again, Delo 400 LE with Isosyn technology shows better performance in this test versus John Deere Plus-50 II SAE 15W-40 Heavy Duty Engine Oil. This test helps reinforce extended service capability of Delo 400 LE in severe service applications.
