Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

2. Kontaminasyon
NBC silahları veya bunları içeren maddeler
kullanıldığında canlılara, malzeme, araç-gereç
ve araziye bina ve tesislere bulaşıp onları
tehlikeli boyutta kirletmesine (kontaminasyon)
denir.
Hastalık ve ölüme yol açar, eşya, bina ve
arazilerin kullanılmasını engellerler
3. NÜKLEER BİYOLOJİK KİMYASAL
N B C
YERLEŞİM
SANAYİİ
SU
YİYECEK
TOPLUM
ARAÇLAR
6. Dikkat !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dekontaminasyon işlemi, eğitimli ve tam
donanımlı personel tarafından gerçekleştirilir.
Temizleme yapılırken mutlaka genel
prensipleri uygulamak gerekir
7. Genel Prensipler
Temizleme işlemi bilinçli ve tam koruyucu malzeme
kullanarak yapılmalı (Koruyucu elbise, maske, bot,
eldiven).
Çabuk temizleme yapılmalı,
Sadece gerekli olan temizlenmeli,
Kirlenmeyi yaymadan temizlik yapılmalı. Temizlenecek
malzeme, araç, gereç temizlik gölgesinde temizlenmeli,
Öncelik sırasına göre temizlemeli. Buna göre öncelik daima
cilt temizliği olmalıdır. Sonrasında en gerekli olan sırasıyla
temizlenmelidir.
8. Dekontaminasyon Seviyeleri.
Bu prensipler çerçevesinde
Dekontaminasyon işlemi 3 seviyede
gerçekleştirilir.
Kişisel Temizlik: Gerek kendisini, gerekse donanım
kirlendiğinde yapılır.
Kısmi (Bölgesel) Temizlik: Kirlenen bölgede görevin
sürdürülmesine izin verecek kadar kirliliğin giderilmesi.
Bütün veya Genel Temizlik: Kirlenmenin herkes için
koruyucu donanım kullanmadan göreve devam etmesini
temin edecek seviyede temizlenmesidir.
9. Her seviyede Dekontaminasyon
yaparken uyulması gereken kurallar:
Sakin olun,
Sağlık personeli, polis ve itfaiyeyi haberdar edin,
Bölgedeki hava durumu ve rüzgar yönünü
belirleyin,
Kirli bölgeye girerken rüzgar üzerinde kalın veya
rüzgarı arkanıza alın,
Olay bölgesine veya kirli bölgeye yaklaşırken
kişisel korunma malzemelerinizi kuşanın (Koruyucu
elbise, maske, bot, eldiven),
10. Her seviyede Dekontaminasyon
yaparken uyulması gereken kurallar:
Tanımlama ekibince ajan tanımlanana dek güvenli
bölgede kalın. (Koruyucu teçhizat ile 25 metre,
teçhizatsız ise 90 metre uzakta, rüzgar üstünde,
tepe üzerinde, görünen bulut veya sis varsa
geçinceye kadar bekleyin)
Belirleyici metotlarla ajanı belirleyin. Eğer ajan
biyolojik ise özel önlem gerektirir ve temastan
kaçınmak gerekir. Bu taktirde ajanı belirlemeye
çalışmayın. Bunu ancak uygun sağlık ekibi
yapmalıdır. Biyolojik ajanların etkileri günler sonra
ortaya çıkar.
11. Her seviyede Dekontaminasyon
yaparken uyulması gereken kurallar:
Bölgeyi güvenlik altına alın,
Güvenli giriş yolu ve konuşlanılacak yeri
belirleyin,
Etkilenenlerin durumu ve sayısını tespit
edin,
Yaralanmaların tipini (görünen belirtiler
göre) tespit edin,
12. Her seviyede Dekontaminasyon
yaparken uyulması gereken kurallar:
Yaralılarla konuşun (İlkyardım kurallarını
hatırla),
Yaralıları ayırın ve nakletmeden önce
yaralılar ve sağlık personelinin
dekontaminasyonunu gerçekleştirin. Temiz
koridor yaratıp geçişleri buradan yapın.
Bu durumları rapor için kayıt altına alın.
16. Dekontaminasyon Maddeleri
Tabii Temizlik Maddeleri:
Su, Su Buharı
Emici Maddeler (Toprak, talaş, kül, üstübü)
Hava
17. Standart Temizlik Maddeleri.
STB: (Süper Tropikal Bleach)
“Sıcak iklim kireç kaymağı” da denir. Klorlu kireç
ve kalsiyum oksidin bir toz halindeki beyaz
karışımıdır. DS2 ile teması halinde ısı ve alev
meydana gelir. Levizit, İperit ve sinir gazlarını
daha zararsız bileşiklere dönüştürür. Biyolojik
harp maddelerine karşı da etkilidir. Kimyasal
kirlenmeler için iki türlü karışım hazırlanır.
18. STB
Demir
aksamının temizlenmesinde kullanılmaz. Çürütücü ve
paslandırıcı etkisi vardır.
19. DS2
%70 Dietilene Triyatin, %28 Mono Metil eter, %2
deriyi yakar. Temizleyici madde ile temas eden deri veya
elbise bol su ile yıkanmalıdır.
22. Özel Temizlik Maddeleri
Propanone (Aseton):
Günlük yaşamda oje çıkartan madde ve yağlı
boya tineri olarak kullanılan aseton çok soğuk
bölgelerde iyi bir temizleme maddesidir.
Hızlı buharlaşır. Fırçalamak suretiyle temizlik
etkisi artırılabilir.
Son derece yanıcıdır. Kimyasal harp maddelerini
nötralize etmez.
Sıvı ve çözülebilen kimyasal maddeler için
etkilidir.
23. Özel Temizlik Maddeleri
Etilenglikol (Antifiriz):
Kirlenmeyi fiziksel olarak yok eder.
%50 oranda solüsyonla birlikte %50 oranında su
karıştırılır.
Kimyasal kirlenmeyi tesirsiz hale getiremez.
Kirlenmeye maruz kalmış yüzeyler temizleme
maddesiyle fırçalanarak temizlenmeli ve sonra
durulanmalıdır.
24. Özel Temizlik Maddeleri
Sodyumkarbonat:
Kirlenmeyi temizlemek için kullanılacak solüsyon
%10’luk olarak hazırlanmalıdır. Bunun için 45
litre suya 4,5 kilogram soda ilave edilerek
hazırlanır.
Kimyasal harp maddelerine karşı çok çabuk
tesirli bir temizleme maddesidir. Sıcak
solüsyondaha etkilidir.
Demir aksamda kullanılır.
25. Özel Temizlik Maddeleri
Okside edici temizleme maddeleri
(Nükleer):
Potasyum permanganat
Potasyum ve sodyum dikronat
Nitrik asit
Eriyik halinde hazırlanır,kirli maddeler
üzerine sürülür.
Önce deterjanlı su ile ve arkasından temiz su
ile durulanır. Paslandırıcıdır.
26. Özel Temizlik Maddeleri
İyot tabletleri (Biyolojik):
Kirli kullanma ve içme sularının
temizlenmesinde kullanılır.
1 Litre suya 1-2 tablet suretiyle temizleme
sağlanır. Bir müddet bekletildikten sonra su
kullanılır.
27. Özel Temizlik Maddeleri
Etilenoksit (Biyolojik):
Bakteriler dahil tüm mikro organizmalara
karşı etkilidir. Yanıcı bir maddedir. Yüzeylere
tatbik edilerek 6 saat beklenir. 25 oC ın
altındaki uygulamalarda bekleme süresi
uzatılır.
Solvent (Kimyasal):
Yağ sökücü özelliği sebebi ile kimyasal
silahların yapısını bozar.
28. Tabii Temizlik Maddeleri
Su:
Sıcak su soğuk suya nazaran daha etkilidir.
Su bazı kimyasal harp maddelerin moleküllerini
ayırarak hidrolize eder.
Su gözenekli ve yağlı yüzeylere pek etkili olmaz.
Fiziksel temizlikte başarılıdır.
Kimyasal temizlemede istenen etkiyi sağlayamaz.
29. Tabii Temizlik Maddeleri
Buhar:
Buharın kirli yüzeyler üzerinde fırçalayarak kullanımı
sadece buhar kullanımından daha etkilidir.
Kirlenmenin fiziksel olarak kaldırılmasında etkilidir.
Ancak tesirsiz hale getirilemez.
Emici Maddeler (Toprak, talaş, kül, üstübü vb.):
Yüzeylerdeki kalın kirlenme tabakasının fiziksel
kaldırılmasında kullanılır. Kirlenme, yüzeyden emici
maddeye geçince kirlenir. Emici, kirli artık işlemi
görmelidir.
30. Kişisel Dekontaminasyon
Eğer uygun koruyucu donanımınız yoksa
temizliğe hemen başlamalısınız.
Uygulama:
Kirli bölgeden çıkın,
Eğer kirlenme deri üzerinde ise;
Bıçak, tahta veya kitap kenarı ile ajanı
deriden sıyırın,
Emici maddeler kullanarak ajanı emdirin,
Ajan deriden çıktıktan sonra giysileri çıkarın,
31. Kişisel Dekontaminasyon
M 258 A1 temizlik kiti varsa onunla yoksa
kimyasal temizleyici kullanarak usulüne
uygun dekontaminasyon yapın,
Eğer varsa su püskürtün,
Emici her ne varsa uygulayın.
Temiz giysi giyin,
Güvenli bölgeye geçmek için ilgiliye rapor verin.
32. Kişisel Dekontaminasyon
Cilt Temizliği:
Cilt temizliği kişinin kendi kendine veya arkadaşına,
başkasına uygulayacağı temizliktir.
Kurtarma ve yaşatma adım adım dekontaminasyon
cihazlarına ve kirliliğin temizlenmesine bağlıdır.
İmkan varsa yürüyebilen yaralılar ile diğerleri
cinsiyetine göre ayrılmalıdır. Yoksa
dekontaminasyon çalışmaları standartlarına uygun
olarak yapılmalıdır.
33. Kişisel Dekontaminasyon
Cilt Temizliği:
Büyük kirlenme varsa elbiseyi çıkarın,
Çıkarma işlemi baştan yapılmak zorunda
ise mutlaka keserek çıkartın. (Giysiler her
durumda vücuttan uzağa doğru ve kirlilik
içeride kalacak şekilde sıyrılarak
çıkarılmalı)
35. Kişisel Dekontaminasyon
Cilt Temizliği:
Boğaz altındaki lekelerden başlayarak vücudun
diğer bölgelerine dekontaminasyona başlayın. Bu
sırada kullanılan malzemeyi deriye bastırmadan
uygulayın. %0,5’lik Hipokloritli eriyikle, yoksa ılık
sabunlu suyla yıkayın, ılık suyla durulayın.
Yıkamaya mutlaka baştan ve ellerden başlayın ve
diğer bölgelerle devam edin.
Kirlenmemiş giysi giydirin veya battaniye örtün,
Derhal sağlık kuruluşuna nakledin,
36. Araç-Gereç Malzeme Dekon.
Araç gereç ve malzemeler;
Havalandırma,
Su ile yıkama,
Ovma,
Yöntemleri uygulanarak temizlenir.
37. Araç-Gereç Malzeme Dekon.
Havalandırma:
Eğer kirlenme hafif veya buhar yoluyla
olmuşsa birkaç gün rüzgara tutma,
güneşte bırakma veya havalandırma
ile temizlenebilir.
38. Araç-Gereç Malzeme Dekon.
Su ile Yıkama:
Geçirmez maddelerden yapılmış araç-gereç ve
malzemeler bir saat suda kaynatılarak
dekontamine edilebilir. Suya sabun eklenmesi
etkiyi hızlandırabilir. Kaynamadan sonra durulayıp
kurulayın ve havalandırın
Araçlar servislerde usulüne uygun şekilde
temizlenir
Deriden yapılmış giysi ve araçlar sıvı ajanları çabuk
emdiği için çabuk dekontamine edilmelidir. Bu gibi
eşyalar 50-55 oC de 4-6 saat kaynatmalı sonra
hava akımında kurutulmalıdır.
39. Ovma:
Personel tarafından giyilen giysiler
kirlenmeyi takiben hemen sonra ovarak
temizlenebilir. Birkaç dakika sonra suyla
ovarak yıkanır.
Bu işlem giysiler hasta üzerindeyken de
yapılabilir. (mecbur kalınca)
40. Çevre ve Arazi temizliği
Örtme:
Su ve hava geçirmeyen malzeme ve toprak
kullanılabilir.
Örtme yöntemi tehlikeyi bir süre
ertelemektir. Bu nedenle güvenli bir yöntem
değildir. Geçici güvenlik sağlar
41. Çevre ve Arazi temizliği
Yıkama:
Tüm kirlenmelere karşı etkili yöntemdir.
Sıcak su ve sabun temizliğin etkisini artırır.
Atıkların bir yere biriktirilip gömülmesi
gerekir. Fırçalama işlemi ile birlikte
uygulanması tavsiye edilir.
Bu yöntemde standart temizlik maddeleri
kullanılabilir.
42. Çevre ve Arazi temizliği
Kazıma:
Hizmetin gerektirdiği alanı açmak amacıyla
kısmi temizlik olarak uygulanır.
5-10 cm. kadar derinlikte kazımak suretiyle
kirlenmeden kurtulmak mümkün olabilir.
Tam güvenli değildir.
43. Çevre ve Arazi temizliği
Yakma:
Yakmak suretiyle arazi ve bitki örtüsünün ve
eşyaların tuttuğu kimyasal biyolojik kirlikten
kurtulmak mümkündür.
Ama radyoaktivite bundan etkilenmez, dumanla
birlikte ikinci bir serpinti oluşturur.
Bu yöntem risk taşımaktadır. Özellikle buharlaşan
kimyasal kirlilik çevreye ve uzaklara taşınabilir.
