This presentation discusses deforestation and its impacts. Deforestation is defined as the removal of forests and conversion of the land to non-forest uses. It presents facts about current deforestation rates and discusses the main causes as agriculture, logging, and fires. Deforestation has significant negative effects such as increased carbon emissions, loss of biodiversity, soil erosion, and disrupted water cycles. To reduce deforestation, alternatives to forest conversion need to be supported along with efforts in reforestation and reducing waste.

4. What is deforestation?
๏The action or process of clearing of forests or the state of having been cleared
of forests.
๏Deforestation, clearance, or clearing is the removal of a forest or stand of
trees where the land is thereafter converted to a non-forest use. Examples of
deforestation include conversion of forestland to farms, ranches, or urban use.
๏The loss of trees and other vegetation can cause climate change,
desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases
in the atmosphere, and a host of problems for indigenous people.

11. Conclusion
Deforestation is very harmful to our community and to other
communities around the world. We shall reject and avoid causing
deforestation by recycling our paper and not throwing it away
because then in the future more trees would need to be cut
down. So if we just keep reusing paper it would be more
sustainable to our environment. The local effect it has on our
environment is that it decreases oxygen for inhalation while trees
absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen for living organisms
like human beings and wild life. You can save lives of living
species. Recycle your paper and Say No to Deforestation!
