An opportunity to invest in more energy-efficient
desalination technology
DD FilterSolutions(DDFS) has developedanalternative Reverse Osmosis
filterthat is significantlymore energy-efficientthanotherfilterson the
market
Breakthrough geometric design
Tested against one of the top rated spiral wound reverse osmosis filters on the market today, the new geometric design
improves the Diffusion Model of Reverse Osmosis, through a lower trans membrane pressure (TMP) and a lower
Concentration Polarization Factor (CPF).
TMP is defined as the pressure gradient of the membrane,
or the average feed pressureminus the permeate pressure.
The CPF relates to the scaling and fouling of a membrane.
The new filter achieves lower hydraulic pressure losses
across the length of the membrane, a lower average feed
pressureresulting in a lower TMP. The lower CPF is evident
in the improved flux performance of the membrane and
higher rejection rates.
These two factors combined, differentiate the DDFS filter
from the current spiral wound filters.Itis what makes the
DDS filter uniquely energy-efficient.
DD Filter Solutions plans to enter the Global water market with small-scale DDFS Filter-enhanced water
treatment systems, targeting specific, niche market segments
DDFS will enter the small scale systems market as a ‘Mutual Water Company’, selling water purchase agreements through
Build, Operate, Transfer (BOT) arrangements.
Benefits to the water buying customer:
 Very low upfront costs
 Lower risk – DDFS assumes full operational/ performance risks
 Energy savings from the DDFS System is passed on through a lower cost of water.
Benefits to DDFS:
 Ongoing stable revenue stream from the selling of water
 Revenue generated provides for ongoing R&D on both current generation filter as well as its second generation
filter (presently in conceptual design)
 Filter technology IP (which is enclosed in the pressure vessels under lock and key) is protected.
DD FILTER SOLUTION INC. INFO@DDFILTERSOLUITONS.COM
The niche markets DDFS will be targeting initially are the food and
beverage industry (Beer) and smaller municipalities.
Smaller craft beer brewers will be a favorable target due to the need to
find their own water source as a result of drought-related restrictions.
Smaller, water consuming municipalities need alternatives to their
current high-cost, large-volume water suppliers. This is a growing
marketplace opportunity that, up until now, desalination has notbeen
a viable alternative, due to high costs.
The roll-outofDDFS will require three to five years, with profitable operationsachievedbythe end ofthe third
year of business operation
Phase I & II: 10 small-scale systems installed and operating
This represents a very small percentage of the systems marketplace in the USA, an achievabletarget for DDFS. DDFS will be
using its first generation filters in this BOT business.
The stablerevenue stream generated by installingoneof these systems is between US$400,000 and US$750,000, depending
on the water being treated (i.e brackish or salt). This will enableDDFS to fund development and market entry of its second
generation filters into the filter supplier market.
Phase III: Second Generation Filter release
At this stage, the second generation will beready for releaseto the filter supplier market.Continued production and sales of
the small scale systems will be determined by market demand. At this stage, DDFS will also explore alternative routes to
market for the systems:
 Partnering with Water Treatment Systems Suppliers
 Selling DDFS-enhanced off-shelf systems direct to market
 Distributing through manufacturing representatives
 Supplying the systems directly to Water Treatment Solutions providers.
To achieve the above DDFS needs capital infusions, both financial and human resources.
DDFS is seeking US$1.1 Million to fund Phase I of DDFS roll-out.
The funding will cover the following:
 Setup assemble facility for DDFS Small Scale Systems
 Construction of two full-scale water treatment systems
 Initial mobilization and operation of DDFS, the business entity
 Marketing and sales of DDFS-enhanced water treatment systems
 Recruitment of necessary human resources for DDFS

Current Team
Daniel Du Toit - Founder and Technical Director
Daniel engineered the design and developed the DDFS Filter element, the technology that we believe can solve the water-
energy nexus of desalination. His passion is in design and invention addressing the needs for pota ble water of the world.
David Partridge - Interim CEO
David is a business strategist and planner with extensive experience in both the high technology and financial services
industries. He is designated interim CEO as DDFS will need a seasoned executive with both water industry and high-tech
manufacturing experience as we move into this next phase of our business development.
Dennis Duerr – Director of Operations
Dennis,a civil engineer, has significantexperiencein both domestic U.S. and international engineering project management.
His role will be to negotiate and manage the BOT agreements we will seek to reach in our first market entry activities.
Josephine Holecek - Marketplace/ Research Director
Josephine has been responsiblefor marketplace research and has worked with David in the development of DDFS’s market
placeand business strategy. She has a background in information technology start-ups and human resources management.
