Dr David McMonnies has over 30 years of experience in trade union education and training. He holds a PhD in Industrial Relations from Liverpool University as well as qualifications in pensions management, health and safety, education leadership, and computing. Currently, he is the Programme Team Leader and Head of the Merseyside Trade Union Education Unit at Wirral Metropolitan College. He has authored national training materials on pensions for several large UK trade unions and regularly delivers briefings on employment law, health and safety, and pensions issues.
