Summary
Qualified and experienced health & safety advisor / representative presently involved in front
line emergency duties and health and safety (Tech 4 and Tech Iosh) whilst working within
the London Ambulance Service this has afforded me the opportunity to gain experience and
work within the safety and risk department carrying out inspections auditing and reviewing
fire, legionella and general health & safety compliance throughout the trust. I have also
represented staff interests at area and corporate level for over 12 years.
Within the private sector I have experience as a health and safety advisor/officer within the
exhibition, conference and sporting event industry where I have monitored and advised
contractors on safe work practices within a multi discipline work force.
Within this role I have interacted with exhibitors and customers during the design stage to
help them achieve compliance. This role also entailed corporate daily meetings with heads
of department and daily contact with the public.
I have experience of raising and managing key site specific H&S competency including strict
risk and safety control measures within the NHS, exhibitors, staff and the general public.
I have also been employed as a front line medic and medical officer within the NHS and in
the private sector.
I have a wide field of experience in healthcare, construction including (electrical rail),
telecoms, engineering and running a successful signage business.
