The document discusses several reasons and use cases for automating processes using automation tools:
1) Automating middleware upgrades, migrations off premium software, building private clouds, core application upgrades/migrations, and platform migrations can speed up projects, reduce risks, and create more manageable environments.
2) Implementing a DevOps process requires integrating tools throughout the development cycle, so automation tools should integrate with existing build engines.
3) The RapidDeploy plugin allows AnthillPro builds to be invoked from RapidDeploy for deployment, enabling automation of building and deploying new environments faster.

Get this slide deck from the SYN105 session at Citrix Synergy 2015 to learn about how Citrix Workspace Cloud fits into your enterprise IT infrastructure.
I really enjoyed delivering a session on “Democratize development with Power Apps & AI Builder” for the #m365virtualmarathon conference on the Boston Marathon Track. I get so excited talking about the endless possibilities of #LowCode #NoCode Platforms like the Microsoft #PowerApps to empower businesses around the world.
Kovair ALM Studio is the web-based, feature-rich and highly configurable ALM platform that enables geographically diverse teams perform all steps of SDLC (Requirements Management, Test Management to Release Management and the processes in between) and beyond with work flow automation for all ALM functions.
The Open Data Center Alliance Cloud Maturity Model (CMM) provides an end-to-end visualization for how the use of cloud in the enterprise develops over time (adoption roadmap) and how the enterprise’s ability to adopt cloud-based services within defined governance and control parameters increases.
As it matures, the use of cloud becomes more sophisticated, comprehensive, and optimized. The CMM plots the progression of structured cloud service integration from a baseline of no cloud use through five progressive levels of maturity.
This presentation will walk attendees through the maturity model that the ODCA has developed and how they can apply this model to their organization creating a comprehensive plan to fully integrate cloud into their operations.
Kovair Omnibus Integration with Multi Vendor ToolsKovair
Kovair Omnibus has close 50 out-of-the-box integrations with vendor agnostic and open source ALM and IT tools. One can also configure Omnibus (the ESB based Integration Platform) adapter based on special configuration needs.
Troubleshooting App Health and Performance with PCF Metrics 1.2VMware Tanzu
Join Allen Duet and Pieter Humphrey from Pivotal, to learn how PCF Metrics enhances the developer experience on Pivotal Cloud Foundry, with a simple and powerful way to troubleshoot app health and performance issues. You will see how, with a single, unified interface for events, logs, and metrics, app devs can easily navigate graphs to identify problems and then view logs for that time slice.

App modernization projects are hard. Enterprises are looking to cloud-native platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry to run their applications, but they’re worried about the risks inherent to any replatforming effort.
Fortunately, several repeatable patterns of successful incremental migration have emerged.
In this webcast, Google Cloud’s Prithpal Bhogill and Pivotal’s Shaun Anderson will discuss best practices for app modernization and securely and seamlessly routing traffic between legacy stacks and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

Driving Enterprise Architecture Redesign: Cloud-Native Platforms, APIs, and D...WSO2

What is DevOps impact on App and API design guidelines.
How API-centric focus revises Enterprise Architecture.
Driving Enterprise Architecture Redesign: Cloud-Native Platforms, APIs, and D...Chris Haddad
High performance architecture is rapidly changing due to three fundamental drivers:
Cloud-Native Platforms - change the way we think about operational infrastructure
DevOps - changes application lifecycle practices
APIs - change how we integrate and evolve infrastructure and applications, especially Mobile apps
In this session, Chris will illustrate:
Why you should consider Cloud-Native architecture components in your Enterprise Architecture
What is DevOps impact on App and API design guidelines
How API-centric focus revises Enterprise Architecture
1. Compelling Events for Automation
• Middleware Upgrades It’s great when new vendors
bring out new features - but often taking advantage of
them takes a good deal of time and effort to upgrade
the new infrastructure - and introduces risk. Automating
the upgrade project speeds it up, reduces the risk and
builds a more manageable platform in the future.
• Migrating off ‘Premium Product’ With the economy
as it is, more organizations are forced to tighten their
belts, and one area that has come under particular
scrutiny is the annual cost of maintaining installed
software. Some organizations have made the decision
to move less business critical applications off more
expensive middleware onto open-source platforms
such as JBoss and Tomcat. This type of project is
accelerated when it’s automated and an automation
tool makes managing hybrid or heterogeneous
environments much easier.
• Building a PAAS or a private cloud With pressure
on businesses to deliver more innovation to their
customers, faster, we see many of our customers
building Platforms As A Service and private clouds.
These are a lot faster and quicker to set up using an
automation tool, and a lot quicker to manage demand
once they are up and running.
• Core business application upgrades or migrations
Many of our customers occasionally need to upgrade
or even replace their core business applications - often
complex, multi-layered, integrated systems that have
evolved over time and have many integration points
and are absolutely critical to the minute by minute
operations of the business. Using an automation tool
can reduce the risk and time associated with such
a project.
• Platform migrations Sometimes it’s time to move
from one platform to another - for instance, customers
sometimes feel that a UNIX based platform will
offer them performance advantages over an OS400
platform. But moving hundreds of middleware
applications might seem like a challenge too far -
without automation.
• Rearchitecting Change is a constant and businesses
need to continually evolve their IT infrastructure
and operations, build new environments for things
like Disaster Recovery and automating the build
and deployment of these new environments means
delivering them faster.
