This document provides a short introduction and overview of databases and resources for academic research in MIS, including EndNote, Bibsys, IEEE Xplore, ACM digital library, and ISI web of science. It discusses EndNote for managing references, the IMRAD structure for academic texts, using Bibsys as the library catalog and for inter-library loans. It also provides some tips for using Boolean expressions and truncation in database searches.
