Daniel Naujoks - UNDP-IOM Roadmap presentationUNDP Moldova
The document outlines a multi-year cooperation roadmap between UNDP and IOM in Moldova with 5 pillars to support Moldova's social and economic recovery from COVID-19 through strengthened partnership on migration issues. The 5 pillars are: 1) data and evidence on migration drivers; 2) engagement with diaspora networks; 3) opportunities for diaspora business and investment; 4) labor mobility and return migration; 5) migration and climate change. Each pillar contains multiple components for activities such as improving data collection, increasing diaspora participation, facilitating remittances, recognizing skills of return migrants, and addressing environmental factors of migration. The overall objective is to leverage migration to accelerate Moldova's achievement of the UN Sustainable
Andrei Darie - Remittances and diaspora investmentsUNDP Moldova
This document discusses engaging migrants and diaspora from Moldova in development projects in rural communities. Remittances are currently often used for consumption rather than development. The priority is to capitalize on migration benefits by engaging migrants and channeling remittances to local development like infrastructure, public services, and economic development. Over 10,000 migrants have been involved in 55 joint projects worth $2.53 million, with diaspora remittances contributing 10% of funds. The model is now expanding to more communities with over 150 projects and $3.5 million in funding, helping address needs made more urgent by COVID-19 crisis through local economic development.
National crowdfunding platforms in Moldova have varying levels of restrictions and commission fees. Sprijina.md, Caritate.md, and Donate.plus charge 3-5% commissions but have low visibility, don't directly transfer funds to beneficiaries, and have inactivity issues respectively. Indiegogo and GoFundme are more restrictive and charge 5% and 0-2.9% commissions plus fees but require diaspora involvement to withdraw funds. Payment options like terminals and bank transfers have non-transparent processes and high fees. Chuffed.org and Facebook Fundraisers also require diaspora assistance to access funds. P2P transfers have low transparency levels.
Design journal public services evaluation toolUNDP Moldova
The document describes the process of designing a public services evaluation tool for the National Chamber of Social Insurance in Moldova. Through ethnographic research, the team discovered citizens want a simple and clear way to provide feedback but are discouraged by complex reporting processes. While citizens want accountability, public servants worry added responsibilities could overburden understaffed offices. The team then generated ideas like installing terminals for fast reporting and creating feedback loops to build trust by showing how issues are addressed. The goal is a tool that improves services by integrating citizen input without overburdening public institutions.
The document summarizes the work of the Moldova Innovation Lab, which aims to improve public services and policies in Moldova. The Lab works to redesign public services through simplifying processes and digitizing services. It also tests new approaches to policymaking, such as using evidence-based research, behavioral insights, and crowdsourcing ideas from citizens. Current projects include streamlining residence registration and helping migrants find work, as well as gathering community feedback to better inform local planning. The Lab brings together experts and partners to apply skills like service design, data analysis, and citizens engagement to pilot innovative solutions for public authorities in Moldova.

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.
Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!
