3. Design Thinking
What is design thinking
Design thinking is a problem-solving approach that emphasizes empathy, creativity, and iterative
prototyping to solve complex problems. It is often used in product and service design but can be applied
to various fields and challenges. The process typically involves five stages:
Empathize: Understanding the needs and perspectives of the people you are designing for. This often
involves in-depth research, interviews, and observations to gain insights into users' experiences and
challenges.
Define: Defining the problem based on the insights gathered during the empathize stage. This is where
you synthesize the information collected and frame the problem in a human-centered manner.
Ideate: Generating a wide range of possible solutions to the defined problem. During this stage, creative
brainstorming techniques are used to encourage out-of-the-box thinking and to explore multiple ideas
without judgment.
Prototype: Creating a tangible representation of one or more ideas generated during the ideation stage.
Prototypes can vary in fidelity from rough sketches to interactive simulations. The goal is to quickly
visualize and test ideas to gather feedback.
Test: Testing the prototypes with real users to gather feedback and refine the solutions. This stage is crucial
for learning what works and what doesn't, leading to further iterations and improvements.
4. Design thinking
IndiGo, is an Indian low-cost airline headquartered
in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. It is the largest airline in
India by passengers carried and fleet size, with a
63.4% domestic market share as of July 2023.[6] It is
also the largest individual Asian low-cost carrier in
terms of jet fleet size and passengers carried, and
the largest carrier in Asia.
5. Design thinking
1 Empathize:
Customer Experience: Conduct in-depth interviews, surveys, and observations to understand
passengers' pain points and preferences. Identify common issues like booking difficulties,
boarding processes, in-flight experience, and customer service interactions.
2 Define:
Problem Statements: Based on the empathetic research, define clear problem statements.
For example, a problem might be: "Passengers find the boarding process confusing and
stressful due to lack of clear communication."
3 Ideate:
Brainstorming Sessions: Organize brainstorming sessions with employees from various
departments to generate ideas. Encourage creative thinking without judgment. Ideas
might range from innovative boarding procedures to interactive in-flight entertainment
systems.
6. Design thinking
4 Prototype
:Boarding Process Redesign: Create a prototype of a redesigned
boarding process, considering factors like clear signage, digital
notifications, and efficient gate management.
5 Test:
User Testing: Implement the redesigned boarding process and new app
features on a smaller scale to gather feedback. Conduct surveys and
interviews with passengers and employees to evaluate the effectiveness of
the prototypes.

What is TableaU?
Tableau is a visual analytics platform transforming the way we
use data to solve problems empowering people and
organizations to make the most of their data.
Tableau is widely used across industries for data analysis,
reporting, and decision-making due to its ability to transform
raw data into interactive and visually appealing dashboards,
enabling users to gain valuable insights from their data.
12. PowerBI
Power BI is an interactive data visualization software product
developed by Microsoft with a primary focus on business
intelligence It is part of the Microsoft Power Platform Power BI
is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors that
work together to turn various sources of data into static and
interactive data visualizations. It enables individuals and
organizations to transform data from various sources into
interactive, easy-to-understand reports and dashboards.
Power BI is widely used for data analysis, data visualization,
and decision-making.
