3. Aim
The Aim of this project is to design and develop a mobile application utilising the power of GPS which can
be ported to both Android and iOS written in a single programming language.
The problem?
Global Positioning System is present in every smartphone but its full
capabilities are not tapped. It can power millions of applications much
beyond basic location tracking and navigation.
Android and iOS are together the most popular OS as of 2014. However,
developing applications for multiple platforms takes a long time and high
cost. Developers focus on the quantity rather on the quality.

4. Using Adobe Flash Pro CC as the IDE instead of Eclipse. Adobe Flash CC IDE will have the ability
to develop cross platform desktop and mobile applications. It can integrate with Photoshop and
create easy animations via the Flash MovieClip.
Using ActionScript 3.0 as the development language. It is an Object-Oriented open source
language developed by Macromedia Inc. and acquired by Adobe Systems. It is mainly used in web-
based applications to embed SWF files. it is a superset of the syntax of JavaScript.
Using Adobe AIR SDK to access the Geolocation Class and other libraries. It can efficiently create
high quality media rich applications both desktop and mobile for a wide variety of operating
systems like iOS, Android, Amazon Fire OS.
