This document describes an experiment with a paper airplane to test how alterations affect its flight. The experimenter launched the plane 6 times with different combinations of a paperclip added to the nose and the elevators folded up or down. Observations showed all throws traveled more than 3 feet. The conclusion is that the hard throw and airplane construction enabled flight over 1 meter, and folding the elevators down caused the plane to go down during flight.

S.L.O.FProcedure-I am going to launch my plane 4 times. 3 Times it will be altered.1st Throw it will not be altered. 2nd Throw I will put a paperclip on the nose.3rd Throw I will fold down the elevators(no paperclip). 4th Throw I will fold down the elevators & put a paperclip on the nose. 5th Throw I will fold up the elevators. 6th Throw I will fold the elevators up and put a paperclip on the nose.Prediction-I predict my plane will fly more than 1 meter.Observation- I observed all of my throws flew more than 3 feet.EVALUATION- I think it flew this way because of how hard I threw it and how it was built. I learned if you folded the elevators down the plane goes down.
