This document provides details for recreating scenes and props from the trailer for a film called "Dark Signal". It lists two locations that will be used - a school recording studio replicating a studio in the trailer, and a school kitchen replicating one in the trailer where windows may need covering to darken the room. It also lists props used like a flashing beacon serving as a torch and flashing light, a phone displaying a green square to mimic lighting in a trailer scene, a silver car replicating one in forest shots, and fake blood placed in the same locations as the trailer.

5. Location shots
We will be using this room (the
school’s recording studio) as the
recording studio used in the trailer
as they both look similar and have
the microphone and dials that we
need to film with.
We will be using one of the
school’s kitchens to recreate the
kitchen scenes in the trailer. Our
only issue with using this location
is the amount of light in the room
as in the trailer the room is quite
dark. To fix this we will most likely
need to find something to cover
the windows and also edit the
footage to make it appear darker

We used this car
beacon for a few of
our scenes as it has a
red flashing light
which fit perfectly
with the timing of
the trailer. The
beacon also doubled
as a torch which we
used in the car scene
For the scene which the
cover is pulled back to
reveal a dead girl we
used a phone with a
picture of a green
square in a dark room
to give a similar look to
the room in the trailer
which has a green hint
to the lighting
We also used a car in a
couple of the shots we
filmed in the forest. The car
used in the trailer was also
silver so this made it look
more similar
In a couple of shots that
we filmed we had to use
fake blood. We tried to
make it resemble the
original trailer as much as
possible so we tried to put
the blood in the exact
same place.
