Full Stack Development refers to the process of creating web applications that encompass both the client-side (front-end) and server-side (back-end) components. A Full Stack Developer possesses the skills and knowledge to work on all layers of application development, ensuring a seamless user experience and smooth functionality. This multifaceted approach allows developers to handle the entire project independently, from ideation to deployment.

1. DANIEL SKERRY
BACKGROUND
I have over fifteen years experience with Progress version 8 through 11. I started as a
trainee programmer, and was promoted to senior programmer in eighteen months. My
jobs have allowed me to gain knowledge in many different areas of Progress software
development. Although my primary role has been programming, I have been involved in
development of the product from consultation with the clients, right through to the
finished product. I have also performed many implementations of the Progress
environment, on both Oracle and Progress databases. I am familiar with the Oracle
Dataserver environment, and some database administration.
I was involved with a project in Holland where I was the appointed technical
consultant, and also joint leader of the project. I was responsible for all development,
customisation, and implementation. The Client requested both Windows NT and Unix
Oracle environments, which allowed for further exposure to the Dataserver architecture.
More recently I have been developing a transport logistics application for Toll. The
application is primarily Unix based with a Progress proxy layer to facilitate integration
with a Java Swing UI. The application is also heavily integrated with several applications
using the Sonic MQ technology. My work was mainly focused on the proxy and
integration layers of the application, along with the associated business objects.

2. EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
2002 – Current
Linx Pty. Ltd.
Bowen Cres Melbourne
Senior Analyst and Development Team Lead
My initial role at Linx was to develop a pallet management system for an
application used to manage Logistics for Toll transport. I have also been heavily
involved in moving significant parts of the application to ingrate with a Java UI.
This involved separating out the business logic into persistent callable procedures
and building a proxy layer, then generating the Java classes using Proxygen. I
have developed an application to manage all database changes throughout the
development process, and contributed to building a testing framework and
regression testing utilities.
I have also been heavily involved with the integration of Tollworks with other
products using Sonic (6 and 8), along with some Web Service integration.
As part of the architects group for the Tollworks system, I have worked with a
small team to consider and implement new strategies to improve the
software package, and to plan the future direction of the overall product.
In my role as a team leader, I have also had the opportunity to mentor less
experienced developers, and oversee much of the development within the
Tollworks application.
