things that are just wrong! None of us
would hesitate to condemn their actions and
gladly proclaim that these infamous men

It does us no good to sit here and only
discuss how wicked everyone else is. We
need to look at what God says about all sin,
not just the really “bad ones”. We’ll look at
the standard he expects in order to show the
all pervasive and appalling effects of sin on
each of us. Our focus will be to answer
these questions:

16. THE PROPONENT
• The doctrine of Original Sin was first developed by St.
Augustine, one of the most influential Roman Catholic
theologians of all time. He lived in the fourth and fifth
centuries of our era, and gave to the apostate church of
Babylon not only the doctrine of Original Sin, but also
the doctrine of Predestination and the doctrine of
"Christianity by force" -compelling people by the use of
coercion and physical force to accept Christianity.

WHAT IS THE DOCTRINE OF ORIGINAL SIN?
Stated briefly and simply, the doctrine of Original Sin
includes these points:

about Original Sin?
• "The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither
shall the father bear the

• Here is the truth of Scripture: Man inherits weakness and

• ancestors, but not guilt. Guilt is not transferable. This
truth is beautiful in its simplicity,
• and does not require an elaborate system of explanations
like the doctrine of Original

matter. The Remnant Church does
not need a doctrine of Original
Sin, and for at least eight reasons:

Let’s look at where sin came from and when
it started. We turn to Genesis chapter three.
God has just created the world and now
Satan in the form of a serpent comes to the
first people, Adam and Eve, in order to get
them to disobey God.
