2. MARKET WRAP
Sensex closed up 0.82% @ 18,000.03 pts; Nifty raised 0.76% @ 5431.00 pts.
France’s CAC raised 0.26%, Britain’s FTSE raised 0.30%, & DAX gained 0.66%.
Nikkei raised 2.20%, Hang Seng up 3.03%, SSE Composite Index up 3.7% .
Sensex gained 152.24 pts @18,005.19 and Nifty went up 41.6 pts to
5,431.6. Sensex rose at its highest since Feb 23 aided by the upmove in Tata pack,
metals, FMCG, oil & gas stocks, on rising hopes for government reforms after the
aviation ministers signaled the country was moving to allow FDI into the sector.
