This document describes the project website and intranet created for the enviroGRIDS project. The website is launched in July 2008 and contains 9 main sections: About Us, Project Description, Partners, People, Meetings, Press Room, Black Sea Catchment, Restricted Area, and a Content Management System. It serves as the front page to communicate information internally and externally. The intranet provides partners access to mailing lists, an FTP site for sharing large datasets, and the restricted area.

The enviroGRIDS web site was launched in July 2008 is order to serve as the front page
to communicate information about the project internally (intranet) and externally
(internet). It was prepared by the UNIGE partner under the supervision of Anthony
Lehmann (project coordinator). It will be updated regularly by Nicolas Ray (project
manager) and Gregory Giuliani (leader of WP2) with information provided by all
partners. For the moment it is divided in 9 main sections:

The website is created from a Content Management System (SPIP) allowing its edition
by multiple editors from any place connected to the Internet.

ENVIROGRIDS MAILING LISTS
Several mailing lists were created to help the communication between the various
partners and work packages. Only the members of the mailing lists can send emails to
these lists. Partners can become members of a WP lists through a simple Intranet
interface.

SHARING LARGE DATA SETS BY FTP
A 1 Tb FTP disk has been setup to allow the enviroGRIDS partners to share their
relevant data sets (upload and download).
A direct access to the data sets with the help of this URL:
https://netstorage.unige.ch/netstorage/
To connect to this disk, you have to request a Username and a Password to Gregory
Giuliani (gregory.giuliani@grid.unep.ch).
Once you are connected, you can access the data through the DriveM@enviroGRIDS.
Then, we organized the data according to the structure of the project WP.
The netstorage interface
On this netstorage space, you can download but also create directories, upload data,
etc… We hope you will find it useful and we encourage the partners to share their data
through this tool. If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact Gregory Giuliani
