HELICOPTER TECHNOLOGY EASTERN EUROPE 2015 POST CONFERENCE MASTERCLASS:
How to do business with the Czech Air Forces
16.30 - 19.30
Thursday 25th June 2015, Dorint Hotel Don Giovanni Prague
For many defence companies growth opportunities come in
the form of geographical expansion and entering new markets
Yet understanding and navigating local government defence
procurement processes is where many organizations fall down.
If you are interested in doing business with the Czech Armed
Forces then this unique and informative masterclass will allow
you to understand the procurement process within the MoD
from ‘contact to contract.’
Topics covered will include:
• Understanding how the Czech MoD issue RFIs, Tenders and
down selects
• Which are the right departments to approach and how best to
do this
• When you need to partner with local industry to make your
opportunity more effective
• How to work effectively with Czech companies
• Current and predicted future Military Helicopter Requirements
and the types of equipment likely to be considered/selected
Dear Colleague,
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in Helicopter
Technology Eastern Europe taking place between the 24th and 25th of June
2015 in Prague.
As nations in Central and Eastern Europe continue to upgrade their defence
equipment, the military helicopter has become a focus of many air forces
wishing to ensure they have a strong rotary fleet capable of multifunctional
operations. All the past and ongoing multinational operations abroad have
proved vital importance of the capable aviation assets and emphasised
need of their interoperability. That is why it is so important to prepare NATO
and EU member state’s Aviation forces for future multinational operations
from two perspectives. We do need to have in mind that the technical
interoperability is a basic condition to succeed. However, the airmen training
and common operational procedures are even more important in order to
play in accordance with “the same sheet of music” like a well prepared
philharmonic orchestra.
There is therefore a need for a high level meeting that brings together
senior military leadership, project decision makers and technical experts
alongside the helicopter manufacturers and cutting edge industry solution
providers to collaborate on future endeavours that will enhance the security
and stability of Eastern Europe and its neighbouring countries.
I believe Helicopter Technology Eastern Europe is the perfect
environment for this collaboration, hence lending my support behind the
conference as chairman.
We would ask you to pay particular attention to our conference
agenda which has been put together with great care to give you the very
best opportunity to benchmark and learn from subject matter experts. We
have invited only the most senior and well respected Helicopter Programme
Managers and the seniority of the speakers is a demonstration of the
communities support for such an important regional forum.
We are delighted that Brigadier General Libor Stefanik, Commander,
Czech Air Force will be supporting the event and delivering the opening host
nation keynote address. As I am sure you know, the Czech Air Force is
prioritising the advancement of its military helicopter capabilities, and it is
very fitting that the commander will share his thoughts on this ongoing
modernisation of the nation’s rotary fleet.
I am looking forward to meeting you in June 2015 with many other like
minded individuals to ensure you too can benefit from this unique forum.
Yours Sincerely,
Major General Bohuslav Dvorak, Former Deputy Chief of the
General Staff, Currently Chief of Advisors to Minister of Defence,
Czech Armed Forces
Chairman of Helicopter Technology Eastern Europe 2015
