Cyberbullying involves tormenting, threatening, harassing, humiliating or embarrassing someone using the internet, mobile phones or other digital technologies. Some common causes are people trying to improve their confidence or feel powerful by bullying others, seeking attention, or trying to fit in socially. Effects of cyberbullying include victims feeling stressed, distracted and having low self-esteem, which may lead to suicide in some cases. They may withdraw socially and show behavioral changes. Suggested solutions are limiting personal information shared online, talking to others, not meeting people met online, being respectful, and saving evidence to report cyberbullying.
