Key Qualifications:
As Managing Director Mr Giertz has successfully achieved and maintained ISO 9001:2008 certification for
ORGUT Consulting AB since 2004.
In-depth knowledge of institutional and sector reform issues including financing mechanisms.
Mr Giertz has led numerous quality assurance exercises of complex consultancy assignments within
development cooperation. He has continuously refined the methodology of these quality assurance exercises
in such a way that they also include capacity building impact aspects and linkages to programme monitoring.
As Team Leader and home office co-ordinator for several development cooperation assignments, Mr Giertz
gained broad understanding and experience of all aspects of project management including accounting,
financial reporting, internal auditing and procurement.
Further, as Managing Director, first of Agrisystems (Nordic) AB and then of ORGUT Consulting AB, and as Team

The Team Leader acted as adviser to the Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government
(PO-RALG), to the four Land Management Programme (LAMP) districts and to Strategic Analysis Planning Unit
(SAPU) of the Forestry and Beekeeping Division (FBD). One particular duty in this respect was to support the
preparation and dissemination of guidelines and manuals in various strategic fields. The Team Leader was
responsiblefor the preparation of annual work plans and budgets as well as quarterly and annual physical and
financial reports and assists theTanzanian authorities in quarterly and annual review meetings. The Team Leader
also planned and organised continuous internal monitoring of the programme together with PO-RALG, producing
an Annual LAMP Impact Study. Further, the Team Leader assisted PO-RALG in managing the internal information
system in LMNRP and arranging meetings and contacts with other organisations withi n civil society. The Team
Leader co-ordinated inter-district training in commercial sector development, poverty alleviation strategies,

supervision of long term and short term consultants, international procurement services (average annual value
of goods MSEK 15), preparation of annual work programmes and budget follow-up. The assignmentalso included
development of programme policies, project proposals and systems for internal monitoring. A number of study
