• Determining whether complaints fall within the Ombudsman’s Terms of
Reference and assessing the best way to progress these for resolution.
• Corresponding directly with both consumers and Estate/Letting Agents to
ensure that there is enough information on file for the paperwork to be suitable
for the next department.
• Working both in a team and individually on a daily basis to problem solve and
share ideas and experience.
• Handling complaints on the telephone and in writing on a daily basis.
• Liaising with other departments in order to better understand my own role and
the implications of work I produce.
September 2011- present: Bird and Carter Delicatessen
• Serving customers in a polite and efficient way, providing high standards of
customer service.
• Preparing and cooking food to be sold both in the Deli and at functions such as
weddings or corporate events.
• Making orders with suppliers both by phone and in person and handling
payment.
• Cashing up after a day’s profits and handling the takings.
