I directed and implement/coordinated all production and instructional elements of theater education at the
university. I created and managed annual production and academic budgets. I facilitated and oversaw a faculty
of four full-time and two adjunct instructors. I also supervised three staff. I taught a 4/4 load along with
administrative duties; and I actively contributed to the university through committee participation. I created the
ASUB Associate of Fine Arts in Theater degree (originally subdivided into two distinct tracks; performance and
design/tech) and won approval from the Arkansas Department of Higher Education. I revised and restructured
the degree in 2011 to a single-focus curriculum for greater transferability. I also secured articulation agreements
for direct, junior-year transfer to four-year universities.

Experience
Utah Musical Theatre, Weber State University, Ogden, UT.
Artistic & Managing Director, January 2003 to June 2007.
I was responsible for the direction, production and financial operation of Utah Musical Theatre (a professional
theater company resident at Weber State University). I effectively managed board and volunteer relations. I
served as the primary community representative and public face for the company and university. I recruited,
hired/fired and oversaw a seasonal staff of 100 plus. I cast all productions. I negotiated and facilitated union
and guild contracting (including AEA, SDC, USA & SAFD). I created and lead development and
outreach/education efforts. I sought out, nurtured and produced new works for the stage. I developed and
coordinated the apprentice/intern program. I established and managed the ongoing production budget. I
routinely directed productions for the company. I successfully wrote grants and raised public/private support.
The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus, Columbus, OH.
Director of Theater, April 1999 to September 2002.
Artistic & Producing Director of Gallery Players, April 1999 to September 2002.
I led the effort to integrate performing arts with the larger mission of this multi-million dollar agency. I
stabilized the budget, grew programming and cross-departmental cooperation. I increased revenue (rental
revenue quadrupled) and encouraged greater facility use. I created education/outreach programs, and developed
partnerships with Opera Columbus and the Ohio State University (among others). I directed productions and
oversaw the creative integrity of contract artists. I created marketing and advertising campaigns. I designed PR
materials and developed season programming that expanded the artistic vision. I collaborated with the volunteer
board and lay-leadership. I expanded grant funding/fundraising both in dollars and variety of sources.
