The airport at Heathrow is huge. If you are a newcomer then it will be very difficult for you to get Heathrow transfers. Before you hire Heathrow cars think exactly where you wish to go.

Steven asks…
Is it OK to hug and/or kiss my girlfriend hello at Kuala Lumpur
airport?
I am from Australia. My girlfriend is from Germany. We will see each other for the first time
(except Skype and Facebook) in over two years at KLIA. I understand that Malaysia is a Muslim
country. Will there be trouble for us if we kiss and hug hello at the airport?
Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:
Ya its ok to do so although you will get some stares. Just keep it short and dont overdo it . I am
from Malaysia so I know. ” Selamat Datang ke Malaysia” ooooh wait you are not here yet.
But why meet in Malaysia?

2. Joseph asks…
After we pick up our checked bags can we still sleep in the Kuala
Lumpur Airport?
We are trying to see if we can sleep in this airport overnight. But we have to check bags, so
we’d have to leave the secure part of the airport to pick up our bags and so I’m trying to see if
it is possible to sleep by baggage claim pickup?
Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:
Why not? Sure you can.
Malaysia is a boleh country what.

3. Can any one tell me the easiest way to get from Kuala Lumpur
airport to the city centre?
My daughter and I arrive at the airport at 21.10pm and I have been quoted £32 return each for
transferes, this seems quite expensive, has anyone used public transport and can advise me?
Thanks
Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:
It’s an hour from KLIA to the centre of town. Depending on where you’re staying you can take
the KL Express train to KL Sentral – you’ll probably have to get a taxi from there to your final
destination.
Alternatively, you can get an Airport Limo. It’s usually between 60RM – 90RM, which is really
quite reasonable – the Ringitt is about 7 to the pound at the moment, so that’s about £12 one
way. They’re safe and efficient and available at any time.
If you do take the cab, make sure that you get a ticket from the official counter – touts are much
more expensive and can be a bit dodgy.

4. How much does a taxi cost from Kuala Lumpur Airport to the City
Centre?
Please answer in MYR or Australian Dollars. Thanks!
Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:
A taxi will cost you around 70MYR or 22.05AUD. The distance is 50kms (31 miles).
A far better alternative would be to transfer from KLIA to the city using the Airport Coach. They
run every 30mins between 0600hrs & 0030hrs, the journey time is about 1hr and the fare
10MYR or 3.15AUD.

5. said the procedure will be done at Airport itself? Any ideas?
Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:
If your green-card has not been endorsed in the US you pobably require a visa…..it is avisable to
contact the Malaysian Embassy to clarify your situation.
As for visiting the city during your transit, consider this: you need to check-in for your flight at
least 1 hour before flight time; journey to city and back requires at least 3 hours. Provide 1 hour
for contingencies – that’s 5 hours off, leaving you with 2 hours freedom for visiting the city for
sight seeing. It’s a bit of a rush. It is better to take a proper tour. A taxi from the airport to the
city and back would cost some 2 x RM80.00 for 4 pax
