The Pelican Case And Your Equipment

Pelican Protector Case- The 1620 Pelican case is made of ultra high impact
polypropylene. It has an unconditional lifetime guarantee. When properly closed the case
will prevent dust and water up to 30 feet deep. It was made with a pressure purge valve to
allow for quick equalization after changes in altitude or temperature. The drop test was
conducted from a height of 48 inches with no damage to the outer case or inner
equipment. Three handles and a pullout handle with wheels are included.

In order to open the case you must first unlock the four clips.
The case has three levels to store the equipment. We will go through the suggested
                              order from bottom to top.

This is the first level (Bottom of the case)

(#1) Cables and Power Cords- All cables go into the largest bottom level area. This is
located on the front center bottom position. (3 power cords and one 9 pin cable)

(#2) Hand Held Scanner- You will place the scanner head towards the left side of the
area and ensure the cables are away from the top left corner. (This is where the metal flap
from the computer goes and if not properly placed will result in the cord being sheered
off. This is located on the front center top position.

(#3) Hand Held Scanner Power supply- The power supply goes with the block to the
left side so the cable is protected from the other metal flap to prevent sheering. This is
located on the top left position.

(#4) Black Mouse- Place the mouse into the center left position placing the cable in first.

(#5) BLANK- This space is not used at this time-This is located in the bottom left
position.
This is the second level (Center of the case)

(#6) Z-2000 CPU Unit- This will be the hardest piece of equipment to prepare for
storage. Keep the CPU in the protective case as when you are doing your demonstration.
Next flip the entire system upside down with the hinged front in the open position. Insert
the front portion first. If you look closely you will see two small slits. This is where the
hinged part is seated in. Once the front is in, the rest of the unit will slide down into
position with a little force. When completed place the foam divider over the top of the
CPU. You are now ready for the last section.

This is the third level (Top of the case)
(#7) Scanner Stand- Bend the gooseneck stand as in the photo above. Place the base into
the bottom right position until it is all the way into the bottom.

(#8) DC Block power supplies for printer and touch screen monitor- Place the cables
in first and then slide the blocks into the hole. It is easier to do both of them at the same
time. This is located in the top right position.

(#11) Flat Panel Touch Screen Monitor (12” or 15”)- Holding the monitor securely,
place the base of the unit in slightly first ensuring the screen faces up towards the top of
the case. Continue to push the entire unit straight down until the unit stops.
