Oman is located in the southeastern corner of the Arabian Peninsula, bounded by the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Oman has an area of 309,500 square kilometers and is led by Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who serves as both head of state and prime minister. Ibadi Islam dominates the religious landscape of Oman, with around 75% of residents identifying as Ibadi Muslims and the remaining population consisting of Sunni Muslims, Shia Muslims, and other minority groups.
