Position – Finance Manager
Responsibilities
• Review and timely submission of monthly management accounts, quarterly board packs
and annual financials in line with Nampak Limited group deadlines.
• Strategic Planning including three and five year plans.
• Budgets and Forecasts (quarterly) preparation as well as strict monitoring and control of
overheads in line with budget parameters.
• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements in line with IFRS requirements.
• Preparation of Mega Pak Zimbabwe audit pack for feeding into the Nampak Limited
Group Report which is listed on the JSE.
• Variance analysis and recommendation of corrective action for loss reduction
• Strict control of credit limits and collection of debtors.
• Liaison with internal and external auditors during audits (Deloitte are the external
auditors and EY are the internal auditors).
• Establishing performance targets (KPIs) for subordinates and half yearly one on one
reviews and ratings
• Legal compliance in areas such as VAT, Standards Development Levy, Zimdef,
Corporate Tax and Withholding tax.
• Cash flow management including allocation to competing requirements to enable
business continuity.
• Regular cost of sales review in line with pricing strategy.
• Review of monthly General Ledger reconciliations.
• Ensuring monthly stock counts are done in adherence to procedures and taking corrective
action on variances.
