Alexander Macalistair Mather is a third year UCT student studying Business Science with a specialization in Finance and Accounting. He matriculated from Rondebosch Boys' High School in 2012 where he achieved excellent academic results and received numerous academic awards. Work experience:
2014- Was a checker for Matric Life Sciences Paper 2. This entailed counting up the marks
and checking if they were correct. I have been asked to be in charge of the system for the
2015 Matrics.
2013-2014: I worked as a contractor in the Cash Reconciliation team from 11th November
2013 until 14th February 2014. I joined while they were changing their main reconciliation
application. My responsibilities included assisting the Reconciliation Administrators with
completing their day to day tasks within deadline as well as ensuring accuracy and efficiency
during the parallel phase. I know how to use Corona and Accurate. I was also given some
adhoc tasks to complete as deemed necessary by the project team.
2011- Job shadowed an accountant at Old Mutual.
2010- Helped with the finances of a company in Kynsna; Brisk Ice.
