Jason Trenchfield is a senior consultant and has been with Arup Operations group since
1996. He moved to the Middle East in 2008 to lead his team (3) and develop the logistics
business for Arup Gulf Ltd and has worked on some of the largest masterplanning projects in
the world. He recently travelled to Melbourne (Australia) in 2010 where he helped develop the

logistics business for the Australasia region for Arup. Jason returned to the London in 2012 to
support the operational readiness strategies for the 2012 London Olympics, and went to
Mumbai, India (Arup India) to work with Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) as their head
of migration for their brand new international terminal (2). He has recently returned to the UK
(2014) to work on the governments HS2 High Speed Rail link.

Migration Lead (Head of Department)
MIAL have commissioned Arup for the operational readiness for their brand new international
terminal. The operational readiness phase will take over 2 years which is critical to its
successful opening. As part of an international team of 7, Jason leads the migration of over
140 different stakeholders for the transition from the existing terminal to the new terminal, the
role includes:
• Leading a team of 25 relationship managers, and 10 logistics coordinators and 40
members of the logistics team, to coordinate all migration activities with stakeholders
• Designing the overall strategy for the move into the new terminal – landside, airside and
accommodation
• Developing the migration plans for each individual stakeholder
• Lead developer of the new International Terminal Opening Day (TOD) Strategy

Crossrail station in 2017.

Regent Street, London – Vehicle Reduction Strategy

Regent Street (London) is one of the busiest roads in the world and Transport for London
(TfL) in conjunction with Crown Estate (Developers) are looking at ways to reduce vehicle
congestion within Regent Street.
Arup Logistics have been commissioned by Crown Estates to develop (i.e. design, support
commission and assist with operations) a Consolidated Freight Strategy (CFS) for the Regent
Street area. This includes reducing delivery cycles for all the retail, restaurants and local
business for the area.

Perth Airport T1 International Departure Expansion and Domestic Facilities Project
Lead Logistics & Operations Engineer Consultant
Perth Airport (PAPL) have commissioned Arup for expansion of the integration of new
facilities with existing infrastructure from inception to construction design, which is critical that
the needs of the building in terms of freight, staff, goods and reverse logistics are assessed
holistically and implemented coherently.
The design undertakes whether deliveries will be made to central service node (Distribution
Centre) or whether each area should have its own dedicated service capabilities for both
Landside and Airside for International or Domestic components of the new terminal building.
Main responsibilities include:
• Leading the integrated Arup Logistics team in Melbourne and Perth
• Managing and advising Perth Airport Operations Team on solutions for freight movement,
facilities management and sustainable design
• Consultancy advice on the Ground Transport Plan on the movement of freight vehicles for
2014 to 2020 and 2020 to 2030 - Perth Airport Consolidated Program
• Modelled all freight movement related to servicing of Terminal buildings including
Terminal 1 and Terminal Western Australia (TWA)

Red Sea Astrarium
Planning Freight Logistics Business Lead
Arup Logistics in Australia were commissioned by Callison Architecture in Los Angeles (USA)
to design logistics concept and scheme design for the operations of the freight delivery
strategy for the site and the required infrastructure to deliver freight for the Red Sea
Astrarium, providing information on how freight will be managed and undertaken within the
site.
The design incorporates distribution centre to be provided at the entrance of the site to control
all freight deliveries. The purpose of the Distribution Centre (DC) is to manage all freight and
staff entering (and exiting) the Astrarium in a warehouse environment making the delivery
process efficient and increasing quality assurance, security, and control management.
The DC will will reduce the number of freight vehicles into the site by 50 to 70% ensuring
sustainable and environmental impacts are reduced during operation and construction of the
site.
Main responsibilities include:
• Leading the logistics design with international design team – Jordan, Los Angeles and
London
• Advising and designing the Consolidation Logistics Approach (CLA) utilising a centralised
strategy for the efficiency and sustainability of the operation
• Designer of the Staff Centre (SC), building that incorporates staff facilities i.e. showers,
lockers rooms, break out areas for approximately 2000 employees
• Technical advisor for automated material handling equipment
• Coordinated MEP maintenance access requirements
• Provided technical advice on the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building
Information Systems (BIS) to be integrated within the site

Moonee Valley Racecourse
Reverse Logistics Technical Advisor
Arup was engaged by Charter Keck Cramer on behalf of Moonee Valley Racing Club to
develop an ESD Opportunities Report. The goal of the report was to inform the Moonee
Valley Race Course master plan process; focusing on sustainability issues within the themes
of energy, water, waste (logistics) and transport.
Objectives:
• Provide the client with the basis to address some of the sustainability priorities of the
Moonee Valley City Council
• Provide the basis by which sustainability may be integrated into the emerging master
plan

Logistics Advisor
Sydney Olympic Planning Authority commissioned Arup to review the pedestrian movement
during major events at the Olympic Stadium. The objective was to survey, model and test the
interaction of pedestrians with the proposed allocation of retail pre and post event.
Activities included:
• A study on the types of retail in relation to the location(s) during major events

Logistics Business Leader
Senior Logistics Consultant for the test and commissioning of Dubai International Airport –
DWC Al Maktoum International, tasks involved understanding the current design and provide
logistics and operations experience for opening of the new airport. The project included
providing logistics advice for the integrated freight link to Jebel Ali Ports. The intermodal link
allowed for quicker turnover of freight from DP World (container operation) and Dubai Airports
(logistics city).
The role required the following duties:
• Providing technical expertise for the freight movement of incoming and outgoing materials
for the new Cargo Building
• Operations support for the trials of both Cargo Terminal Building (CTB) and Passenger
Terminal Building (PTB)
• Technical support for all operations including the testing procedures for both CTB and
PTB, and security procedures for freight and commercial activities for landside/airside
operations.

Masdar is the worlds first zero carbon, zero waste, pedestrian city. The car parks are
designed for visitors entering Masdar that encapsulates multiple modes of sustainable
transport.
Main responsibilities include:
• Managing the operations team on solutions for freight movement, facilities management
and sustainable design.
• Consultancy advice on the Freight Rapid Transport (FRT) system
• Modelled all freight movement related to the Gateway car park structures

was to understand the current operation and plan the following trials for successful opening.

Nakheel – Dubai Waterfront – Operational and Construction Logistics Strategy – Client:
Nakheel
Senior logistics consultant for the 1.5 km² Nakheel Waterfront Master Plan, developing the
construction and operation logistics plans for the overall movement of materials on behalf of
Nakheel. The role included secondment on site (Dubai Waterfront, Jebel Ali) for 36 weeks.
The following activities included:
• 60-day study calculating the number of vehicles types for the delivery of construction
materials, including visits to local construction sites, material suppliers, warehouse
owners and fleet management companies.
• Feasibility study on multi modal transportation including freight distribution by water.
• Provided data to support the freight model analysing the movement of materials to
calculate the spatial requirements for construction materials.
• Designed and recommended Logistics Consolidation Centre (LCC) to secure and store all
material delivery for Nakheel developments.
• Provided a cost assessment for the construction and operation of Nakheel LCC.
• Reviewed the construction and operational waste strategies for the Waterfront, including
sustainability guidelines for reuse of construction materials, material segregation and
transportation of waste materials to treatment facilities.

HEART OF DOHA, Qatar - CITY (Master Plan) – client: Doha Land
Senior logistics/operations consultant for the concept master plan, main responsibilities
included providing the operations strategy for shopping malls, hotels, schools, cultural
centres, apartments, houses, and offices. The entire city restricted the use of heavy vehicles,
therefore the logistics operation was designed underneath the city.
Project included the following activities:
• Operational basement designed for all service vehicle movements
• Coordinated transportation activities for the basement road network
• Designed the central service areas to serve multiple developments above ground
• Designed routes connecting the main operational areas
• Provided equipment specifications
• Reviewed the construction logistics plan for the phased design approach
• Provided advice to the transportation group of all freight movement internally and
externally

Guinness Nigeria – On-Site Logistics Review
Logistics Consultant
Arup were commissioned by Guinness Nigeria plc to undertake a detailed on-site logistics
review of two breweries in Nigeria, Lagos and Benin City. Guinness intend to double their
brewing and bottling output from these sites and a review was required to calculate if the
logistics operations - goods receipt, storage and despatch - were able to developed in line
with the planned capacity increase.
The role included:
• Logistics analysis of the brewery processes modelling each operation to simulate future
expansion
• Reviewed best practice methodologies for the warehouse(s)
• Advised on the material handling equipment/technology to increase operational efficiency

Project Blue, UK – Chelsea Barracks redevelopment (Master Plan) – Client: MAKE
Architects (600,000m²)
Redevelopment of Chelsea Barracks, London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
The operational design was coordinated with the Architects (Fosters) and Transportation
Group (Arup), providing sustainable solution for 500 high-end residential apartments with
ground floor retail.
Role included:
• Planning requirements for Westminster City in terms of the operation
• Site wide sustainable strategy, reviewing the reduction of carbon emissions for all freight/
delivery movements
• Coordinated security activities for the movement of vehicles
• Analysed the service level requirements for on-site maintenance
• Review and made recommendations on construction logistics activities

Mansfield Hospital PFI
Arup Logistics were commissioned to design the logistics strategy for Kingsmill and Mansfield
Hospitals. The design was based on the use of modern technology for the distribution of
materials providing the means for increasing safety at work dealing with remote arrival intake
areas and separating the delivery of other logistical movements i.e. patients, medical
supplies, staff and equipment.
Other aspects included a complete assessment of the supply chain in the terms of shipment
of materials and the use of a consolidation centre.
Logistics systems for the hospital design included the following:
• Paternoster system advice
• Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)
• Monorails
• Pneumatic Tubes
• Coordinating the design with system manufacturers
• Integrated servicing requirements for transport
• Movements of materials, people, patients, equipment, specialist materials
• Design of the FM centre

BYWATERS PLC, UK – Partnership - Vehicle Scheduling Project – Bywaters PLC – Waste
Management Company.
Project managed the implementation of the new vehicle scheduling/fleet management system
for Bywaters PLC, secondment to Bywaters for 20 weeks.
The following activities included:
• Understanding current vehicle operation
• Review of the company manpower
• Fleet management and maintenance requirements
• Lead consultant of the design of the software specification
• Advised on mobile data tracking, vehicle monitoring, send & receiving GPS technology
and in-house development tools

WRAP & HAMMERSONS PLC, UK – Construction Management –
Arup were commissioned by WRAP (Government Waste & Resources Action Programme) to
survey construction sites/developments owned by Hammersons across the UK and review
best practises and sustainability. This was achieved by analysing data, costs, procurement,
waste segregation and construction management. The deliverable for the project was to
create a model that WRAP could use (in-house) to investigate further findings for other
construction sites.
Role included:
• Analysing comparative data
• Enable bench-mark studies to understand efficiencies/inefficiencies of the operation
• Provide construction logistics expertise

Haringey Council – UK Authorities – Feasibility Study
Feasibility study completed by Arup was jointly commissioned by ‘The Bridge NDC’ (New
Deal for Communities) and Haringey Council. The study focused on nine council estates in
the NDC area, examining the arrangements for managing waste and sustainability. The nine
estates represented a wide range of different housing types providing an excellent
comparison for analyzing different types of land uses with different operational requirements.
Role included:
• Site investigation of all nine estates and compiling a report of findings
• Discussed with local residents/communities leaders regarding the difficulties of estate
management
• Providing educational workshops on community benefits of sustainability

Battersea Power Station – (Master Plan) Development, UK – Parkview International PLC
Logistics consultant for the operational design of Battersea Power House, 500,000m²
development incorporating retail, theatre, hotels (2), 705 residential units and 40,000m² of
offices.
Project included the following:
• Logistics Hub proposal to consolidate deliveries
• Coordinated the design of the internal road network for oversized vehicles
• Coordinated the design for all operational areas

Relevant Project list: India projects May 2012 – May 2014 Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) – Operational Readiness Airport Transition – New International Terminal Migration Lead (Head of Department) MIAL have commissioned Arup for the operational readiness for their brand new international terminal. The operational readiness phase will take over 2 years which is critical to its successful opening. As part of an international team of 7, Jason leads the migration of over 140 different stakeholders for the transition from the existing terminal to the new terminal, the role includes: • Leading a team of 25 relationship managers, and 10 logistics coordinators and 40 members of the logistics team, to coordinate all migration activities with stakeholders • Designing the overall strategy for the move into the new terminal – landside, airside and accommodation • Developing the migration plans for each individual stakeholder • Lead developer of the new International Terminal Opening Day (TOD) Strategy • Developer of the 90-60-30 day strategy UK projects Apr 2014 – Oct 2014 NWEC – Bond Street, London - Freight Vehicle Reduction Scheme Project Manager for the New West End Company (NWEC) revitalization of Bond Street W1, part of Transport for London BIDS4BIDS initiative. The project to consolidate and manage freight and waste collections for all retailers in Bond St, for the introduction of the new Crossrail station in 2017. May 2014 – Nov 2014 HS2 (Britain High Speed Rail) Senior Operations Consultant The High Speed Two rail network will bring the UK’s Victorian railway infrastructure in the 21st Century connecting the whole country. It will see Britain adopt the worldwide standard and finally see the major cities of the Midlands and the North connected to the extensive, Europe- wide high speed network. Senior Operations consultant coordinating with Grimshaw Architects developing the station design for the OBS (On Board Servicing) for the new high speed trains. Page 3

January 2012 – May 2012 Olympic Development Authority (ODA) – Operational Readiness Emergency Response Senior Logistics Consultant The role includes providing advice for the operational readiness committees for the ODA reviewing transport and logistical issues in emergency response. Assisting with the development of operational scripts and advising of operational procedures for the Olympic Park (London). December 2011 – May 2012 Regent Street, London – Vehicle Reduction Strategy Senior Logistics Consultant Regent Street (London) is one of the busiest roads in the world and Transport for London (TfL) in conjunction with Crown Estate (Developers) are looking at ways to reduce vehicle congestion within Regent Street. Arup Logistics have been commissioned by Crown Estates to develop (i.e. design, support commission and assist with operations) a Consolidated Freight Strategy (CFS) for the Regent Street area. This includes reducing delivery cycles for all the retail, restaurants and local business for the area. Australasia projects January 2011 – December 2012 Perth Airport T1 International Departure Expansion and Domestic Facilities Project Lead Logistics & Operations Engineer Consultant Perth Airport (PAPL) have commissioned Arup for expansion of the integration of new facilities with existing infrastructure from inception to construction design, which is critical that the needs of the building in terms of freight, staff, goods and reverse logistics are assessed holistically and implemented coherently. The design undertakes whether deliveries will be made to central service node (Distribution Centre) or whether each area should have its own dedicated service capabilities for both Landside and Airside for International or Domestic components of the new terminal building. Main responsibilities include: • Leading the integrated Arup Logistics team in Melbourne and Perth • Managing and advising Perth Airport Operations Team on solutions for freight movement, facilities management and sustainable design • Consultancy advice on the Ground Transport Plan on the movement of freight vehicles for 2014 to 2020 and 2020 to 2030 - Perth Airport Consolidated Program • Modelled all freight movement related to servicing of Terminal buildings including Terminal 1 and Terminal Western Australia (TWA) Page 4
  • 5. • Reviewed the serviced requirements for all mechanical, electrical and plant equipment requirements December 2010 – March 2011 Red Sea Astrarium Planning Freight Logistics Business Lead Arup Logistics in Australia were commissioned by Callison Architecture in Los Angeles (USA) to design logistics concept and scheme design for the operations of the freight delivery strategy for the site and the required infrastructure to deliver freight for the Red Sea Astrarium, providing information on how freight will be managed and undertaken within the site. The design incorporates distribution centre to be provided at the entrance of the site to control all freight deliveries. The purpose of the Distribution Centre (DC) is to manage all freight and staff entering (and exiting) the Astrarium in a warehouse environment making the delivery process efficient and increasing quality assurance, security, and control management. The DC will will reduce the number of freight vehicles into the site by 50 to 70% ensuring sustainable and environmental impacts are reduced during operation and construction of the site. Main responsibilities include: • Leading the logistics design with international design team – Jordan, Los Angeles and London • Advising and designing the Consolidation Logistics Approach (CLA) utilising a centralised strategy for the efficiency and sustainability of the operation • Designer of the Staff Centre (SC), building that incorporates staff facilities i.e. showers, lockers rooms, break out areas for approximately 2000 employees • Technical advisor for automated material handling equipment • Coordinated MEP maintenance access requirements • Provided technical advice on the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Information Systems (BIS) to be integrated within the site • Design for a safe working environment – H&S November 2010 – January 2011 Moonee Valley Racecourse Reverse Logistics Technical Advisor Arup was engaged by Charter Keck Cramer on behalf of Moonee Valley Racing Club to develop an ESD Opportunities Report. The goal of the report was to inform the Moonee Valley Race Course master plan process; focusing on sustainability issues within the themes of energy, water, waste (logistics) and transport. Objectives: • Provide the client with the basis to address some of the sustainability priorities of the Moonee Valley City Council • Provide the basis by which sustainability may be integrated into the emerging master plan Page 5

The following waste logistics activities included: • Providing advice on global best practice of waste management • Providing technical advice on waste management technology (automation), and how it would fit with the emerging master plan • Supporting ESD team during the work shop discussions December 2010 – January 2011 Sydney Olympic Planning Authority (SOPA) – Sydney Olympic Stadium - Pre and Post Event Pedestrian Study Logistics Advisor Sydney Olympic Planning Authority commissioned Arup to review the pedestrian movement during major events at the Olympic Stadium. The objective was to survey, model and test the interaction of pedestrians with the proposed allocation of retail pre and post event. Activities included: • A study on the types of retail in relation to the location(s) during major events • Conducted logistics surveys in Sydney Olympic Park Middle Eastern projects November 2009 – June 2010 Dubai International Airport – Al Maktoum International Airport – Logistics/Operations Coordinator – Client: Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) Logistics Business Leader Senior Logistics Consultant for the test and commissioning of Dubai International Airport – DWC Al Maktoum International, tasks involved understanding the current design and provide logistics and operations experience for opening of the new airport. The project included providing logistics advice for the integrated freight link to Jebel Ali Ports. The intermodal link allowed for quicker turnover of freight from DP World (container operation) and Dubai Airports (logistics city). The role required the following duties: • Providing technical expertise for the freight movement of incoming and outgoing materials for the new Cargo Building • Operations support for the trials of both Cargo Terminal Building (CTB) and Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) • Technical support for all operations including the testing procedures for both CTB and PTB, and security procedures for freight and commercial activities for landside/airside operations. • Provided sustainable logistic methodologies for both CTB and PTB March 2009 – December 2009 Masdar City – UAE – Client: ADFEC Page 6
  • 7. Logistics Project Manager for Masdar City Gateway Masdar is the worlds first zero carbon, zero waste, pedestrian city. The car parks are designed for visitors entering Masdar that encapsulates multiple modes of sustainable transport. Main responsibilities include: • Managing the operations team on solutions for freight movement, facilities management and sustainable design. • Consultancy advice on the Freight Rapid Transport (FRT) system • Modelled all freight movement related to the Gateway car park structures • Reviewed the serviced requirements for all mechanical, electrical and plant equipment The project role also included: • Site wide logistics consultancy advice • Material distribution • Material handling • Consolidation design • ICT coordination • Tagging and traceability • Costing and transport advice October 2008 – December 2010 Al Mashtel – 760,000m² Masterplan Development – Abu Dhabi – Client: Sorouh Real Estate P.J.S.C. – The team leader and design project manager for the overall logistics operation. Main responsibilities included: • Design for the on-site consolidation centre for each phase of the development • Designed the underground service movement through the basement • Technical advisor for automated material handling equipment • Coordinated all reverse logistics requirements (waste) • Coordinated MEP maintenance access requirements • Provided technical advice regarding the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Information Systems (BIS) • Design for a safe working environment – H&S June 2008 – April 2009 Dubai Airport - Terminal 3 and Concourse 2 – Operational Readiness Airport Team (ORAT) – Logistics – Client: Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) Logistics team leader for organising the trials for Dubai Terminal 3 and Concourse 2, the task was to understand the current operation and plan the following trials for successful opening. The role required the following duties: • Providing technical expertise for the freight movement of incoming and outgoing goods for Terminal and Concourse Page 7
  • 8. • Author of the logistics operations guide for Dubai Civil Aviation Authority for Terminal 3 and Concourse 2 • Training coordinator for all logistical operations for Terminal 3 and Concourse 2 including reviewing the scheduling process for all operational deliveries, internal movement for concessioners, security procedures for landside and airside operations. • Provide sustainable expertises for operational procedures April 2008 – November 2008 Nakheel – Dubai Waterfront – Operational and Construction Logistics Strategy – Client: Nakheel Senior logistics consultant for the 1.5 km² Nakheel Waterfront Master Plan, developing the construction and operation logistics plans for the overall movement of materials on behalf of Nakheel. The role included secondment on site (Dubai Waterfront, Jebel Ali) for 36 weeks. The following activities included: • 60-day study calculating the number of vehicles types for the delivery of construction materials, including visits to local construction sites, material suppliers, warehouse owners and fleet management companies. • Feasibility study on multi modal transportation including freight distribution by water. • Provided data to support the freight model analysing the movement of materials to calculate the spatial requirements for construction materials. • Designed and recommended Logistics Consolidation Centre (LCC) to secure and store all material delivery for Nakheel developments. • Provided a cost assessment for the construction and operation of Nakheel LCC. • Reviewed the construction and operational waste strategies for the Waterfront, including sustainability guidelines for reuse of construction materials, material segregation and transportation of waste materials to treatment facilities. January 2007 – January 2008 HEART OF DOHA, Qatar - CITY (Master Plan) – client: Doha Land Senior logistics/operations consultant for the concept master plan, main responsibilities included providing the operations strategy for shopping malls, hotels, schools, cultural centres, apartments, houses, and offices. The entire city restricted the use of heavy vehicles, therefore the logistics operation was designed underneath the city. Project included the following activities: • Operational basement designed for all service vehicle movements • Coordinated transportation activities for the basement road network • Designed the central service areas to serve multiple developments above ground • Designed routes connecting the main operational areas • Provided equipment specifications • Reviewed the construction logistics plan for the phased design approach • Provided advice to the transportation group of all freight movement internally and externally June 2005 – December 2005 – Designed in the UK Dubai Festival City, Dubai – client: HOK Architects Page 8
  • 9. Retail development located in Dubai; Lead Logistics design coordinator for the operations strategy for the movement of goods and reverse logistics. Project included the following activities: • Logistics centre for multiple operation areas • Engineered logistics design for the transfer tunnel to connect other operational areas • Established the reverse logistics strategy for entire site • Coordinated basement MEP utilities for all operational areas Relevant Project list: European projects March 2007 – July 2007 Guinness Nigeria – On-Site Logistics Review Logistics Consultant Arup were commissioned by Guinness Nigeria plc to undertake a detailed on-site logistics review of two breweries in Nigeria, Lagos and Benin City. Guinness intend to double their brewing and bottling output from these sites and a review was required to calculate if the logistics operations - goods receipt, storage and despatch - were able to developed in line with the planned capacity increase. The role included: • Logistics analysis of the brewery processes modelling each operation to simulate future expansion • Reviewed best practice methodologies for the warehouse(s) • Advised on the material handling equipment/technology to increase operational efficiency August 2007 – March 2008 Project Blue, UK – Chelsea Barracks redevelopment (Master Plan) – Client: MAKE Architects (600,000m²) Redevelopment of Chelsea Barracks, London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. The operational design was coordinated with the Architects (Fosters) and Transportation Group (Arup), providing sustainable solution for 500 high-end residential apartments with ground floor retail.   • 10. Mansfield Hospital PFI Arup Logistics were commissioned to design the logistics strategy for Kingsmill and Mansfield Hospitals. The design was based on the use of modern technology for the distribution of materials providing the means for increasing safety at work dealing with remote arrival intake areas and separating the delivery of other logistical movements i.e. patients, medical supplies, staff and equipment. Other aspects included a complete assessment of the supply chain in the terms of shipment of materials and the use of a consolidation centre. Logistics systems for the hospital design included the following: • Paternoster system advice • Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) • Monorails • Pneumatic Tubes • Coordinating the design with system manufacturers • Integrated servicing requirements for transport • Movements of materials, people, patients, equipment, specialist materials • Design of the FM centre September 2006 – March 2007 BYWATERS PLC, UK – Partnership - Vehicle Scheduling Project – Bywaters PLC – Waste Management Company. Project managed the implementation of the new vehicle scheduling/fleet management system for Bywaters PLC, secondment to Bywaters for 20 weeks. The following activities included: • Understanding current vehicle operation • Review of the company manpower • Fleet management and maintenance requirements • Lead consultant of the design of the software specification • Advised on mobile data tracking, vehicle monitoring, send & receiving GPS technology and in-house development tools August 2006 – January 2007 WRAP & HAMMERSONS PLC, UK – Construction Management – Arup were commissioned by WRAP (Government Waste & Resources Action Programme) to survey construction sites/developments owned by Hammersons across the UK and review best practises and sustainability. This was achieved by analysing data, costs, procurement, waste segregation and construction management. The deliverable for the project was to create a model that WRAP could use (in-house) to investigate further findings for other construction sites.   • 11. Haringey Council – UK Authorities – Feasibility Study Feasibility study completed by Arup was jointly commissioned by ‘The Bridge NDC’ (New Deal for Communities) and Haringey Council. The study focused on nine council estates in the NDC area, examining the arrangements for managing waste and sustainability. The nine estates represented a wide range of different housing types providing an excellent comparison for analyzing different types of land uses with different operational requirements. Role included: • Site investigation of all nine estates and compiling a report of findings • Discussed with local residents/communities leaders regarding the difficulties of estate management • Providing educational workshops on community benefits of sustainability February 2004 – August 2007 Battersea Power Station – (Master Plan) Development, UK – Parkview International PLC Logistics consultant for the operational design of Battersea Power House, 500,000m² development incorporating retail, theatre, hotels (2), 705 residential units and 40,000m² of offices.
