«Φιλοξενώντας» την τράπεζα µέσα στο εµπορικό κατάστηµα λιανικής. Η ανάπτυξη των εναλλακτικών δικτύων των τραπεζών έχει συµβάλει στη δραστική µείωση του πραγµατικού κόστους συναλλαγών. Υπάρχει, όµως, µία συναλλαγή την οποία εκτελούµε ακόµα µέσω του παραδοσιακού καναλιού. Την κατάθεση µετρητών. Η λύση σε αυτά τα προβλήµατα κόστους και ασφάλειας είναι πλέον διαθέσιµη µέσω της υπηρεσίας αποµακρυσµένης κατάθεσης µετρητών (RCC), η οποία έχει πρόσφατα αρχίσει να προσφέρεται από σηµαντικό αριθµό τραπεζών και στην ελληνική αγορά. Χαρακτηρίζεται αποµακρυσµένη γιατί εκτελείται στο χώρο του εµπόρου, ένας χώρος αποµακρυσµένος από το παραδοσιακό γκισέ του ταµία στο κατάστηµα της τράπεζας. Η υλοποίηση της λύσης είναι απλή και απαιτεί, από πλευράς εξοπλισµού, ένα «έξυπνο» χρηµατοκιβώτιο (smart safe) εγκατεστηµένο στο χώρο του έµπορου, στο σηµείο συλλογής και πλέον κατάθεσης χαρτονοµισµάτων. Το «έξυπνο» χρηµατοκιβώτιο διασυνδέεται ηλεκτρονικά µε το αρµόδιο τµήµα της συνεργαζόµενης τράπεζας. Τα «έξυπνα» χρηµατοκιβώτια αναγνωρίζουν, ελέγχουν και στη συνέχεια αποθηκεύουν τα χαρτονοµίσµατα, ενώ ταυτόχρονα ενηµερώνουν σχετικά την τράπεζα, η οποία φροντίζει για την αποσυµφόρηση τους σε µεταγενέστερο χρόνο.
