1 .- EL TIEMPO PRESENTE: AM - IS - ARE
I
am (yo soy o estoy) We are (nosotros somos o estamos)
You are (tú eres o estás) You are ( Uds. Son o están)
He is (el es o está) They are (ellos son o están)
She is (ella es o está)
´It es (es o está)
Ejemplos:
The teacher is inthe classroom now.
John and Mary are good friends.
The men is tired.
Those vehicles are slow-moving.
Doctor Smith in busy right now.
The train is ten minutes late.
Is an undergraduate student.
The instructors are in the staft-room.
2.- La forma negativa se expresa usando la palabra not. Normalmente formando las contracciones ISN´T o AREN´T.
Ejemplo:
The are not there. The aren´t not there
Bob is not very well. Bob isn´t not very well.
The students are not in the lab. The students aren´t not in the lab.

2. 3.- La forma interrogativa se expresa mediante simple inversión de orden con el sujeto de la oración.
Am I? Aren´t I
Are you? Arent´t you
Is he? Isn´t he
Is it? Isn t´ it.
B . - EL TIEMPO PASADO WAS - WERE
1 . - El verbo TO BE tiene las singulares formas en el tiempo pasado. WAS – WERE
I was We were
You were You were
He was They wer
She was
It was
Ejemplos
We were in Paris last year.
Mary was the best student in my class.
They were very good friends.
I was very busy yesterday.
2 . - la forma negativa se expresa usando NOT después de WAT o WERE. Normalmente se usan las contracciones
WASN´T o WERN´T.
Ejemplo:
Susan wasn´t a good student.
Charles wasn´t in the office.
We weren´t hungry in the morning.

3. 3 . - la forma interrogativa se expresa invirtiendo el orden de WAS/WERE con el sujeto.
Ejemplo:
Was Helen happy in the morning?
Were they in the work the Sunday?
Were there men tired after the long walk?
Was he at the movie at 10:00 pm. ?
C . - EL TIEMPO FUTURO WILL BE
1 . - el tiempo futuro del verbo TO BE se expresa mediante el uso de Verbo Modal WILL. Seguido del infinitivo BE.
Normalmente se usa la contracción ´ll en la conversación diaria informal.

Ejemplos:
Peter will be in the house all day.
I will singer in the evening.
He will be in class until 1 o´clock.
They will be on leave for to weeks.
2 . – La forma negativa se expresa usando la palabra NOT después del verbo modal WILL. Normalmente se usa la
contracción WON´T.
Ejemplo:
We will won´t work tomorrow.
The will won´t in the house every day.

4. Marcos will won´t be at home today.
3 . - La forma interrogativa se expresa usando el verbo modal WILL o la contracción WON¨T delante del sujeto.
Ejemplo:
How long will in the Cuenca?
Will my mother by here on the Sunday?
Will the test be difficult?
When will I be on my city again?
