Wicker Park is a neighborhood in Chicago northwest of the Loop that was founded in 1868 and initially developed after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. It has a population of around 25,000 people and a median income of $77,214. Wicker Park is known as a trendy area full of unique shops, antique stores, art studios, and popular restaurants like Piece Pizza and Stan's Donuts. It can be reached by taking the Red Line south from Loyola to transfer to the Blue Line and getting off at the Damen stop.
