The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is an entrance exam required for teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8 in India. The exam consists of two papers, with Paper 1 for Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8. Each paper has 150 multiple choice questions covering topics like child development and pedagogy, language subjects, mathematics or science, and social studies. The exam takes 2.5 hours to complete and is conducted by both the central and state governments in the country.
