An earthquake in Sichuan Province, China in May 2008 destroyed or damaged over 8,000 schools, displacing millions of school children. The China Earthquake Relief Fund was created to rebuild schools and communities and help children impacted by the earthquake. They have partnered with organizations to provide volunteer training and coordination for relief efforts. The fund has committed to rebuilding classrooms and an entire school building, helping over 450 students return to school, as they work to rebuild communities and support children through education.
