Firstly,let me clear that both CS and SE are
good fields and quite similar.
BSE students take many of the same CS core
courses as BCS students.
BCS students enjoy more flexibility.

Professionals in the two fields often
compete for the same positions.
Realize that the term software
engineering is sometimes
overapplied.Some companies choose to
use the title software engineering.

4. CS vs SE
Software engineering programs include a
design project,through this project,a future
software engineer displays his or her ability
to apply engineering principals in the real
world.
The senior project may be very applicable to
software engineer’s future work.

5. CS vs SE
 Both CS and SE have a big focus on programming.
 But the purposes of programming are different.
 A CS student might find himself writing programs to determine the
winning strategy of a board game, or to calculate the number of units in
some patterned structure this tends to involve lot of recursion and heavily
theoretical discrete math based.They will do a lot of practical yes but
accompany it with theoretical math to fully explain it in depth.

6. CS vs SE
A SE student is going to have a more direct and
practical goal i.e He might write a program to go to a
website and extract certain data or to control or
robotic arm or at an assembly line.It has a lot real
world kind of stuff.They will have to rely more on
theory they would be tested on practical knowledge
of syntax.
