2. CS vs SE
Firstly, let me clear that both CS and SE are
good fields and quite similar.
BSE students take many of the same CS core
courses as BCS students.
BCS students enjoy more flexibility.
3. CS vs SE
Professionals in the two fields often
compete for the same positions.
Realize that the term software
engineering is sometimes
overapplied.Some companies choose to
use the title software engineering.
4. CS vs SE
Software engineering programs include a
design project,through this project,a future
software engineer displays his or her ability
to apply engineering principals in the real
world.
The senior project may be very applicable to
software engineer’s future work.
5. CS vs SE
Both CS and SE have a big focus on programming.
But the purposes of programming are different.
A CS student might find himself writing programs to determine the
winning strategy of a board game, or to calculate the number of units in
some patterned structure this tends to involve lot of recursion and heavily
theoretical discrete math based. They will do a lot of practical yes but
accompany it with theoretical math to fully explain it in depth.
6. CS vs SE
A SE student is going to have a more direct and
practical goal i.e He might write a program to go to a
website and extract certain data or to control or
robotic arm or at an assembly line.It has a lot real
world kind of stuff. They will have to rely more on
theory they would be tested on practical knowledge
of syntax.
