Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

✅What is C++ Programming?
C++ is an enhanced and extended version of C programming language, developed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1979 as part of his Ph.D. project. Bjarne developed what he called ‘C with Classes’ (later renamed C++) because he felt limited by the existing programming languages that were not ideal for large scale projects. He used C to build what he wanted because C was already a general-purpose language that was efficient and fast in its operations.
✅C++ Career Prospects:
With just C++ programming expertise, you will have excellent job opportunities, salaries, and career prospects. However, for a career based on programming languages such as Java and Python (which are in more demand than C++) or for careers based on front-end, back-end, and full-stack

interesting as you might be, your viewers will really appreciate seeing a fresh new face. Make sure
that whoever you have in your videos reflects the kind of message you want to send to your viewers.
It's vital that those people just beginning to use video marketing select high-quality titles. The best
titles will bring in new viewers. The title is one of the most important factors, and without a proper
title, the viewers won't know what to expect. Don't rush the creation of great titles.
A video is a useful supplemental resource that can provide greater detail and clarity for users of
your products. By letting your audience see deeper into your brand and its offerings, you are inviting
consumers to build a stronger relationship. Seeing it in action can give your sales a real boost.
If you're selling a product, create a video which tells your customers how to use the product. You
can start with opening the box, run through how to put it together, and then show them how they
can use it. This will make them appreciate how much you respect your customers.
A product review video is a great way to promote a product. Show how to set up or demonstrate the
uses of your products. Discuss each feature and how it works. Mention any options that are available
and don't forget warrantee information. Video reviews show your market why your product is the
one to buy. Get started with video marketing and watch your sales increase.
If you want to create videos of yourself talking to your audience, keep in mind that your appearance
and diction are important. Take the time to do your hair, pick some nice clothes and apply some
makeup. Make sure the lighting works to your advantage and do not hesitate to do multiple takes if
your diction is not perfect.
A great way to engage users with video marketing is to leave a few questions unanswered or make
your videos thought provoking. This will encourage your viewers to engage you with comments and
will give you a chance to speak to them on a personal level. When you communicate with your
viewers, you end up building a bond with them on a personal level.
If possible, bring recording equipment with you any time you set up shop at a trade show,
convention or other industry event. That's because you will likely be able to interview experts in your

so they know that you're watching what's being said and learning from what they share with you.
It is hard to hold people's attention for a long period of time. Do not let your videos go longer than 3

successful call to action rise.

some level, it is a fact that people respond better to very attractive people. If you do not have
attractive people that you know that will help you out you should look into hiring actors.
Don't think in terms of a single video. Think of an entire series of videos, which can become a
marketing campaign. If you create a show which appears every week on a specific topic, for
example, people will come back to see what's new, and you'll grow a loyal viewer base.
If you are camera shy, or you do not feel like you would be good at video marketing, look within your
company for someone who would be a good fit. They are usually the most friendly and have a natural
exuberance that radiates around them. This is the person you want to choose for your video
marketing.
If you are using social media to market your business, try responding to comments and questions
with videos. This is easily done with a webcam and this kind of video marketing adds a personal
touch to your responses. When people can see the person instead of just reading text, it gives them
the feeling that their comments are valuable and heard.
Try doing a parody to get views for your
online marketing video. Imitating a popular
video or personality with parody will
generate thousands of views, especially if
you can coordinate your timing with real life
happenings. Use politics and celebrities or
mimic the most popular ad on TV and see
how fast your video takes off!

share their thoughts and opinions in your
videos. Remember that each person has
something unique to contribute. No single
person has all the answers. By interviewing someone and encouraging them to share their ideas, the
two of you can truly create worthwhile content that your viewers will love.
